Thats wierd according to the safety rules on all ships you need to wear them even if its a false alarm sp you know next time its real how to take the lifejackets on
Life jackets are not required at the drill any longer. They still demonstrate the use of the life jacket at the muster drill but I think there were too many injuries when people tripped over the straps of the life jackets as they walked up or down the stairs with them.
Lifejackets are still required at the muster drill you just get them when you are at a meeting point where the crew give the lifejackets to you instead
this is kinda what they do on norweigan cruise lines .(:
