I really like this lecture; skeptics: just keep an open mind! I don't believe 100% of what he says is truth, but disprove it. Unless i missed something (probable) after listening to the first few minutes of this vid - i don't conclude he is presenting all of this information as irreputable fact but rather plausable "theory" with at least some truth and great ideas and concepts.

Motive is important to me, and he explains his well. He is not trying to persuade, but inspire you to experience.

I feel a bit awful that so many of us, myself included, have questioned Tom so many times and in so many ways on the use of drugs. We sure do like to get caught up in our techniques, don't we? I think we're all just looking for a shortcut, I know i'd like one. I'm worried if i spend the next 12 months regularly meditating, I may have no progress and become demoralized. I've never meditated before, but i'm going to start soon. It just doesn't feel like the right time yet.

If proper meditation techniques for an individual be decided by the individual, how are you certain that drug use hinders rather than helps in any particular case?

A good way to meditate, I think, is to stare at grass and really relax. I can do it standing up, smoking a cigarette. But, I don't ever go very far with it. But, it's strange, after a short time, the grass I see starts to look all the same. Like a fractal pattern develops in the grass itself. Still looks like grass, just a repeating pattern. BUt, I also know that there are no two blades of grass that are the same.

In order to understand what Mr. Campbell tries to explain in 18 videos with lots of contradictions, I suggest you better see Chuck Hillig, THE MEANING OF LIFE, in youtube, and with that you will understand everything in just 13 minutes. Save your time.

Just the opposite. learn to meditate and engage fully with the reality around you. Locking yourself up in your room and meditating all the time is not a good way to grow the quality of your consciousness -- it leaves one dysfunctional and out of balance.

I'm curious to know who is the person "lay-o-lee" he is talking about at the start of this vid (#13) - the person who "figured it out 26 hundred years ago". I've tried searching various spellings of this on the net but can't find anything. Can anyone help out?

My error. My mind slipped in another name very familiar to me -- Lao Lee -- because it sounded a little similar. One of thoes bloopers where you just say the wrong thing because you are thinking faster than you can talk. -- Your mind has gone on to the next thing while your mouth is still trying to say the last thing.

Lao Tsu is pronounced somthing like Low Sue. The book Lao Tsu wrote is: Tao Te Ching.

There seem to be a few assumptions you have made other than the two you stated. These are at least:

○ that we have free will

○ that you cannot be conscious without experience or the ability to learn (etc).

I have a further question: if consciousness is the only fundamental 'thing', where/how is information 'stored', and what is it if not consciousness itself?

And another: under your theory what is the brain for / what does it do?

Assumption 1: A potential energy form (call it primordial consciousness) exists a media capable of self-modification.

"self-modication" imply free-will.

Consciousness is information.  At its smallest level, bits of consciousness can be this way, or that way. They are binary.

Hard to say -- some take to it very quickly others do not. Hemi-sync or binaural beats can push many there quickly.

The opposite of love is selfishness, and selfishness produces fear. This way of meditating is based is selfishness. This is nothing new. It is ancient mysticism put in a new age coat. It's all true and real, but it will eventually take you to destruction.

Emptying your mind allows demon forces to come in. They will take you on a trip, and enlighten you, but only to destroy you and others. This is just modern day mind control and witchcraft. The Holy Spirit is the only true Spirit quide!

That sounds wondeful, but is not realistic. Look at the world today. There is a lot of strife and division. We are fighting against rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. The only way to fight them is indeed love, since love is the greatest force in the universe.

The problem is that people are emotionally ruled away from the will of God. When you line your emotions up with what is written, then your heart will never be troubled. God loves us, and He desires to protect us.

U will find many of the 'evil-doers', belong to and/or run churches, check history, from priests to Ministers to secretaries to school teachers to presidents.

But this lecture has nothing to do with stamping out God?

If anything its a beacon to help you to find you, god in you.

The Kingdom of Heaven is within, and being in the Spirit means... That you have received God's Spirit through faith in what Jesus has done for you. There is no other way to God. Jesus is the door, and we can only enter through Him. This teachings might be interesting, but it is spiritually deceiving, it is truth with a twist.

Apparently the Greek allows of the translation "the Kingdom of Heaven is among you", meaning it is 'here', it has come. Why do you search for it in an imagined place, deferring it through hope, which is selfishness because you demand YOUR kingdom? We are citizens of heaven.

BesACB: I know the Kingdom of God is within, but first the eternal has to become internal so it can manifest external. This happenes through impartation of God's Holy Spirit. That's why Jesus said that you must be born again. You will get a pre-taste of heaven in a fallen sinful world. and become a light shining in darkness.

It is legitimate but it is also limiting. There is no way to cheat. You either earn it or you don't get the benefit.

Since you have worked with Robert Monroe, do you think it is legitimate to use Hemi-Sync Cds as a supporting tool for meditation and consciousnes s development?Because it gives you a certain experience or do you think this is more like cheating?

I think he mentioned in one of the later videos that one could get stuck using the cds too much. It was in the question/answer video's.
