@Superphilipp Yes, he hated what Spector did with the strings and choir, but that is the version everyone has come to know and love....so he just sticks with it.
I don't get it - I thought Paul absolutely HATED the sappy strings that Phil Spector tacked onto his original tracks for this on "Let it Be." Yet here we are, 40 years later, with pretty much the same syrupy strings. I bet back in '69 Lennon hated it even worse!
I don't like his version. Eric Claptons version is the ultimate best. Also Paul sounds like complete crap in this video. I'm sorry if anyone disagree's but in my opinion he seriously does.
@xxbbyblue Who cares if you dont like his version. Without Paul's original version Frampton would not have been able to "cover" it. So respect the originals. If you dont like it stay the hell off of Paul McCartneys videos
@iamthewalrus2358 I was just giving my opinion, I'm ALLOWED to do that, so how about you just stfu & leave me alone because I haven't done nothing to you.
@xxbbyblue You are absoultely correct. You're allowed to give your opinion, however when you say You "haven't done nothing" you are using a double negative, and in fact are saying that you have done something to me. Other than dazzle me with your stupidity, you haven't done much to this McCartney fan :D
Paul McCartney: 17 to 66 just like that, days as a Beatle, days as a solo artist, with lots of drama and emotional bumps along the way. He always managed to push through and make the best of everything. But that was "Yesterday" and as for the things that have happened the way they did, "Let It be".
Three cheers from a Beatles fan from the very beginning - from the first time I heard them on the Ed Sullivan show - so long ago.
They inspired me to take up the guitar in 1963 - making music my chosen profession.
And you have to hand it to Sir Paul - he keeps going and is performing live after all these years. And for charity as in this show, which is really great. I hope I get to see him some day live - 'twas always my dream when I was young.
hmm what i dont get is why paul made the big fuss about Phil Spector putting the orchestra in it in 1970 but yet on here he uses the orchestra? i dont care honestly i love both versionsm the orchestra and the "naked" version..go beatles.
