One of my favorite (and saddest) episodes of the "new" Doctor Who series. I so admire Russel T. Davies as a writer--and of our talented friends "across the Atlantic"! You British are so very creative...a great inspiration to this aspiring Science-fiction author! We created Star Trek, and you created Doctor Who--quite possibly the two best science-fiction franchises ever created

This was the best song i have ever heard in a tv series to date, its so beautiful and sad, (and if anyone knows where i can find the bass notes/tabs for the song id hug u)

everytime i hear the song i cry every time i see this episode i cry just as everyone says they were so perfect together, even the end of season 4 didn't make me feel any better (i mean come on wat about the actual doctor)

Well done, it made me cry. 'Doomsday' is so emotional, I can't bear watching it without crying. Rose and her destiny... it is just sad. What a good episode my only gripe with it was with no communication between universes, how the hell could Pete know to show up exactly where he did, at exactly the right moment, poised exactly as he was to catch Rose and why wasn't he just instantly pulled right off his feet and sucked into the void?

Easily the greatest ever episode of all time. The music adds to the brilliance.

I have yet to meet a Doctor Who fan who has not been left devestated by the end of Doomsday.

Its the same kinda feeling of losing someone close to you. If like me you watched from the beginnning you will have grown an attachment to Rose.

Its what makes Doctor Who the best programme on TV. Everything else pales in comparison.

It just seems like he will be alone for ever, just the fact that he's the last of the Time Lords and... HOLY CRAP A REVELATION!!! I have no idea how Naruto even relates to Doctor Who but Uchiha Sasuke is kind of like the Doctor in the fact that he will never be with anyone but that's more or less because he betrayed his friends, is obsessed with revenge (killing his older brother), and more or less sold his soul to the devil (not the devil really, but Orochimaru sure is close enough)

Other similarities!!! Both Sasuke and the Doctor have special abilities: The Doctor: Well he's a Time Lord, Sasuke: He is extrememly talented, he is an Uchiha, he has a cursed seal, and he has Sharingan...And then both the Doctor and Sasuke have lost people and are the last of their kind... the Doctor: Last of the Time Lords, Sasuke: His brother murdered their entire family and he is one of the last Uchihas (his brother, Itachi, being one...actually he's dying right now)

But those are the only similarites... the Doctor has always been considered a good guy but Sasuke is one of the most complex characters in what side he's on (seriously, you have no idea how many debates there have been about whether or not Sasuke is still good deep down or if he's gonna go straight to hell for what he's done, or if he's a gray character with foot on each side of the line, with a chance for redemption)

Doctor of series three, maybe there you'd have a better comparison, but Sasuke is an avenger, through and through, whatever it takes to avenge his clan.

The doctor is the protector, doign whatever it takes to save the earth and keep the balance.

Hell, the entire first season was about the doctor not making the same choices that Sasuke made, rather than become a monster he backed down and faced death, Sasuke couldn't do that.

There actually are a few similarites between the Doctor and Sasuke but just in their background, not in what they do. Sasuke does change to the point where he is willing to die for Naruto and Sakura and jumped in front of Naruto to save him from Haku at one point, so in a way he is a protector but then in his mind he figured that it wouldn't help him in anyway so he left. He wasn't really running away from something, he was doing what he thought was best.

how= well there are parallel worlds so there is a parallel captain jacks version of torchwood... rose cud find him and torchwood could help make something that can transport rose and her family back to modern day proper earth... there cpt jack can do a scan for alien tech... find the doctor and let martha doctor and rose sort them selves out... jack goes back to his parallel world and closes the gap again! every one is happy that way!!! no it isnt on the internet sorry!!

russel t davies has already sed that a movie will be made about the doctor and rose... only problem that russell mentioned was that 9 months of the year and nearly 2million pounds is spent on making a series of doctor who... so imagine how much money and how much time it would take to make a movie because a movie has to be bigger, better, and more action packed than any eppisode! so its going to cost and its going to take a long while to film!!!
