Since our national security is the penultimate goal of our society, and we have huge deficits caused by many factors. Wanna trim the deficit, cut welfare, free programs, earmarks, ACORN. I believe you are confused. Obama does not want to raise taxes to bring down the deficit. He wants to raise my taxes to send a check every year to those who don't pay less taxes. Increasing my taxes to pay off a deficit is one thing. Using it to spread the wealth around as he sees fit is quite another.

I worry because I do make more than 250K. My husband and I both have parents who started from scratch when they lost everything including their country to a man who promised change many years ago. They and we have worked very hard for what we have today. My parents who are still alive also fall into the over 250k category as well. We did it without government handouts. We are very generous with our money. Obama wants demonize people like me, calling me selfish. He has got a lot of nerve!
