Eustace was going to be an annoying character no matter what anyone does. he is an annoying character in the book too so either way he was going to be annoying. but i think the actor who played him did really well to the his annoyance know and evolve him into a fully developed character. i personally didnt think he was that annoying my sister is more so and he a dragon and cant talk through a portion of the movie

i think this movie was really good as it followed the old BBC television series which brought back loads of movies. it followed the books in some parts. i just really enjoyed it i cant wait to to ge tit on dvd. and if i admit i cried and the next one would be The Silver Chair since the end of the film introduced Jill Pole

I saw this movie today with my mom, and I agree: defintiely better than Prince Caspian.

I watched this review before I saw the movie, so I walked in with very low expectations of Eustace.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I have to repectfully disagree with you: I thought Will Poulter was very funny. Sure, he was over the top, but in my opinion, it worked, because I felt that Eustace was an over the top character anyway (although, I can rightfully judge as I haven't read the books).

I saw this movie twice for good measure, just to make sure I wasn't being overcritical, and I have to say, as an avid Narnia fan: I. HATED. THIS. MOVIE! I've been waiting over a year for this freaking thing, and it was the biggest letdown since Avatar: The Last Airbender (another of my personal favorites) went to the big screen! T.T Dear Aslan, they GUTTED it to the point where it wasn't even my favorite book anymore--it was LITERALLY a sucky fanfic: and BELIEVE ME, I've read enough to know! T.T

I love how you present the reviews. And i agree with you to almost all of it. Especially on the title, it's way too long. Although i have to say, the personality of Eustace was extremely well portrayed. Good actors are the types that makes you feel the way they want you to feel towards the character.

I read all 7 Narnia books a year ago and, with the excepetion of the 7th book, they were all brilliant :) BOTH The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe AND Prince Caspian were fantastic! Btw, (I respect ur opinion) but did u read the Prince Caspian book? The reason it was done like LotR was because it was taken over by Telmarines and therefore, you couldnt really have the fun adventurous feel, not to mention i thought it was a lot more mature and that's why it worked. This latest one looks so-so :)

Eustace is meant to be anoying. In the BBC narnia series Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Tredder could be seen as one movie/tv series so imagine how much of a mouth load that would be. Also where I live prince Caspian was rated M so the eqvilant of PG13.

Caspian the movie was totally boring but you have to read the books to know that they are all dark. C.S. Lewis is a christian trying to create a parable that people will "come to Christ" by. It's a story of good and evil by christian standards and honestly it's pretty dark stuff. The Lord of the rings is the exact same thing, just a different story. So it isn't that one is trying to be like the other. They were written for the same purpose.
