Who the fuck cares about Lars? This is a video about Chris Adler and his bad ass tasty drumming. Everybody talks about other drummers and these videos. Not sure why. These are some of the most perfect sounding studio drums ever man. Does anybody know how much is sampled and how much is his live recordings?
@TimAndEricAreTheBest I watched an interview with him and Mapex drums. He doesn't use any samples or triggers. His drums just sound clean and amazing consistently.

danny carey is the ultimate drummer. chris adler is great and has great double bass technique but if you listen carefully to danny you'll notice all the polirythms and the creation that revolves the ambient of the song itself. this sounds like a machine gun. (cool machine gun)
Lamb of God rocks, definitely one of my top 3 favorites... BUT I think Danny Carrey of Tool would take my vote of bieng #1 one drummer and Adler would get #2, ive been looking at both of their videos and is almost too hard to call.... but lars aint even in the fucking contest lol Thoughts?

@zombieslovebacon Yeah, well you are the one who brought in other musical genres not me. There are jazz drummers like Benny Gred who can play amazingly. Lars may have fit his genre, but he is not a good drummer at all. Think about something like Shannon Lucas in All That Remains. Sick drummer, but he didn't fit the style. There are so many more things than double bass out there, you brought it up not me. Jazz drummers, metal drummers, blues drummers are amazing, but Lars just sucks.

Blast beats do not fit into LOG's style that often. Adler is a technical, amazing drummer. Lucas is fast, powerful, and sick. They're both amazing. And if you're going to mention Shannon Lucas you have to remember all the other amazing drummers out there. For example, Gene Hoglan, George Kollias, Romain Goulon, and Hannes Grossman are all sick.

@417coty I actually didn't even read the other guys comment...agreed with you there, though you should listen to Adler's work on The Near Dominance Of 4 Against 5 (he plays with Ron Jarzombek from Blotted Science on some Tech Death). Ritual was amazing. No doubt there. I know a bunch of people who grew out of LOG, and I do happen to see where you're coming from, but Adler is sick.

Really nice, but it's almost all footwork. Chris Adler generally focuses way too much on the double bass, and as technical as it can get, it really makes his drumming one-dimensional.
@TheMorbidAsshole Oh yeah, no other drummer in metal overuses double bass. It's practically unheard of. In fact, double bass and metal music tend not to mix very well, which makes LoG all the more interesting. They truly have an innovative sound apart from all trends and styles, nobody is quite like them.

Howeverrrrrr he was partially famous for his own style which by itself was kickass. inspirational. But at that Chris Adler created his own sort of changing things up with cymbals, and his hardcore heal-toe kick is pretty badass haha

@KindaKevin Yea dude I have the axis and they are insanely awesome. The only problem with them is that they keep coming apart every once in a while. I think you should try out the Tricks they seem pretty nice and solid pedals but they're like 2x the price of Axis.

But Lars can be compared by any standard because what do Chris and Lars have in common? They both play drums and are both human beings. Lars is an asshole. Chris isnt.

@zombieslovebacon yes you can definitely compare them, saying one is better than the other though like, obviously chris is 10 times better than Ulrich, but they both play different styles, one uses more speed, and one doesnt, of course you can like chris better than lars for any point you want, comparing them in skills tho just doesnt work out, its obvious that lars cant play half the shit chris can play, just because lars is an asshole does not make him a bad drummer though

@KindaKevin Yea dude I have the axis and they are insanely awesome. The only problem with them is that they keep coming apart every once in a while. I think you should try out the Tricks they seem pretty nice and solid pedals but they're like 2x the price of Axis.
