some of these comments are hilarious. "i dont normally like hip-hop, but these guys are...". as if dalek are the only group to do what they do. respect to dalek (im a huge fan), but if you sum hip-hop as "bling" or just expose yourself to whats on the radio and on tv, ur ignorant for not exploring. oh, and chances are dalek is a fan of a lot hip-hop music you guys dont like, lol. get some culture.
@sucramnipp I think a lot of us are drawn in to the Justin Broadrick influence, which I personally haven't heard in any other rap/hiphop. If there's more of that please give suggestions, I'd love to check it out. Admittedly like you said, my exposure to rap is very limited, mostly to the MTV stuff.
@freddielololol no doubt, i respect that. i guess i was in a shitty mood when i wrote that comment, lol. i jus get tired of people stereotyping hip-hop. if you like dalek, you'd probably like: early public enemy (dalek's main influence), cannibal ox, k-the-i???, busdriver, el-p, subtitle, thavius beck, aesop rock, antipop consortium, jel (anticon), sage francis, prefuse 73,
@sucramnipp, I deeply agree, people have been saying a lot of stupid shit about Hip Hop that are untrue, I mean c'mon I can name more than a 100 Hip Hop artist both MC's and DJ's making amazing music such as DJ Krush, Nujabes (R.I.P.), Themselves (Dose One & Jel), Copywrite, LMNO, Qwel, JFK (of Grayskul), Ra Scion (of Common Market), Blue Sky Black Death (Kingston & Young God); I mean the list goes on and Hip Hop is the most diverse genre that no one has ever heard of.
Saw these guys live a few days ago opening for Tool. Normally I'm not to into rap/hip hop, but these guys are REAL! None of that bling stuff, and no yelling dumb shit while doing weird stuff with their hands. Just great sound and lyrics!
I have always seen myself as an enemy of hip-hop, but i saw them in Gothenburg warming up for Isis.. Damn.. Have I missed something or is it just Dälek who pwns?
@vithuorza Hip Hop really is supposed to be about experimenting... There is Saul Williams, Beastie Boys, Run DMC. Also in France Hocus Pocus and in Italy Melma & Merda (you can find them on Youtube). Hope you appreciate, if you don't peace anyway :)
Easily the most abrasive hip-hop I've ever heard. Fucking love it.

that´s just what great music should do: breaking down barriers and closed mindness ;)
you should check out crews like public enemy, wu tang, antipop, gangstarr. they´re as heavy and energetic as neurosis, in their own way. peace!
