i love how he produced this record with the emphasis on drums and puts himself outfront with the lead singer focus wise

during their performances . Most drummers get lost in the back of the stage and dont have that much chemistry with the band but jack is like a sick-ass back beat metronome shining on the stage!

I was never crazy over White Stripes or the Raconteurs, good yes but WOW no, but this is the best of Jack White. As a drummer I am impressed with his sound, it is always stripped down, which is fine. I guess he started out as a drummer.

It just goes to show, you don't have to be Neil Peart (who I 'm a big fan of) to be musical and good. Some times the most simple patterns, grooves with FEELING are better than a million beats per minute. I like his drumming better than his guitar playing frankly, even his voice. The female on vocals is good. I got to say I like the few songs I've heard and the reports from live performances have been good. Hope they make some more music and stay together longer than 6 months.

Sad thing about his vocals. he caught an infection from so much flying back in 04 or so, when the stripes started doing more touring around the world and stuff. So now, his singing is like an old mans :((
