  • @guitarmanpollard thank you ! and happy new year to you !

  • i could honestly listen to this on an 8 hour transatlantic flight and just chill! props to you sir freddy!

  • thankyou so much nickhansbauer !

  • Nice tone from that guitar Freddy, a brighter sound than your sunburst. Thanks to your postings I have been in the loft again to re-listen my old Barney Kessel records.Once again, you have done a great job. Regards.

  • hi milowagon ! the tone control never worked on this guitar. i think it's running more open than the red one.thats why it's brighter.

  • nice playing !

  • Ok bravo. your guitar that sounds good. what's that sound guitars are cleaner for melodic music like this? the parker is good for example? Greetings

  • thx luichisoun10 ! i'm not familiar with a parker

  • Grrrrrreat sound !

  • thank you very much jonolemon !

  • that sound freddy is the guitar, the amplifier or simple you, god bless your hands! ! !

  • Very good version, Fred (i hope that's your name). You've got some Barney in your soul (laughs). I still have to upload my version, but it's clumsy as of now. Cheers!

  • thx androidguitar ! nice job on polkadots

  • @freddym223 thx. Not yet, but i'll work on it and then upload a better version, on electric.

  • Splendid! Sounds like I had A Foggy Day in mind, took some psychedelics, and kept hearing it as I walked through the Fun House - with all those bizarro mirrors - and then just as I was coming down and out of the Fun House, this beautiful crystaline resolve straightened everything out.....nice trip, great control!

  • thanks jefferzone61 ! glad you enjoyed the trip !

  • it's a pretty song ^^

i have 2 play a foggy day 4 my music exam........ tomorrow!!!!

  • hey fred nice job i recently got the barney kessel albums with this on it..have u heard george bensons verison..simply stuning! i have a question...what brand of guitar is that and the price of it???

  • thanks PanteraQueen! havn't heard G.B. 's

    version

  • @PanteraQueen lmao just thought id say your name is cool :P

  • you are the best jazz player on youtube!!

  • i don't know if i deserve such a nice compliment.but i thank you very much darontimothy !!

  • Very pretty! I never tire of hearing this Gershwin classic. What a sweet, sweet version. Another excellent job, sir! :)

  • thanks JubalCalif ! to bad they don't make em like this anymore :-(

  • My thoughts exactly, I think that's why many shy away from dialing up the treble. I get a double whammy from adding 13s round wounds to the mix, all the string noise is amplified and it forces me to focus on clean shifts from position to position (makes those Segovia Scales and Van Eps exercise a real work out). But espeicially in the higher register, the guitar just sings when the treble is added. Considering that most well made arch tops are spruce tops, the disposition to bass seems odd to me

  • I think I've already commented on that ol' feel good twang you have got embedded in you playing, and how rare it is to hear in today's day and age. I used to talk with my teacher James Chirillo about the natural treble that is inherit to the guitar and how the majority of jazz guitarist especially post 'cool' seem to ignore its bright brilliance. Kessel knew it, J. S knew it and even Howard Alden knows about this hidden bright beauty. Thanks for keeping the bright clean n' brilliant, Freddy

    -A

  • thanks splanky87! yes,it adds color and forces me to play cleaner,it's less forgiving than a bassy tone
