Ron Paul needs to run as an independant. I think he's great, but I'd have a very hard time voting for a Republican. His lack of support from cons is frightening--even now they want to stay the course. They'd rather (have more) die than admit they were wrong.
I've done some research on Thompson. He is pro-life now (forget past) and is a strong Guns Owners of America supporter. I've looked up his senate voting records and haven't seen one time he has went against anything dealing with guns.

I agree with Fred Thompson on most issues but the fact that he is a member of the CFR really disturbs me. If he got the nomination I would probably hold my nose and vote for him anyway but the only consistent conservatives are Tancredo, Paul, and Hunter.

I have come out in support of Mr. Thompson because he is the only choice out there that speaks clear. Health care is a mess our economy is brought to us by other countries and no one really wants to fix it. The real health care problem is a lack of nurses and that is a real problem. I am the only one that wonders why this all started so early?

I've done some research on Thompson. He is pro-life now (forget past) and is a strong Guns Owners of America supporter. I've looked up his senate voting records and haven't seen one time he has went against anything dealing with guns.

You're wrong about the oil--it wasn't to get oil. We had access to all the Iraqi oil we wanted when Saddam was in power. And there's no shortage of oil with or without it.
It was to control the oil and create fake shortages to boost the price, making huge profits for the oil companies, and increasing the value of their reserves by over $2 Trillion.

That facts I gathered from the Intelligence Report is that the war has created a TON more Al Quaida than there ever were prior to our starting the war. And the war has made us safer how if the number of Al Quaida is larger exponentially? Opnion of people around the world has changed to being not friendly towards America and they question AMERICANS who let this happen and the American media who did not question the war as they should.

That might be true, but what can you say about the thousands of likely new al-quada recruits because of the war and occupation and building resentment towards the U.S. over in the middle east? And how about the number of american troops that would still be alive today if it were't for the invasion?
What about the roughly 71,000 iraqis killed since the invasion? I can't imagine their families are too happy. What if you were one of them?

I understand your point..but new recruits for Al-Quada were growing long before we went into Iraq.
The growing resentment in the middle east you speak is by muslim extremeists, who's goal is to destroy all americans and Israel.
How many americans would still be alive if we did not involve ourselves in WWII?
The majority of the Iraqis killed have been by muslims, not the U.S. I'm sure the families of the 300,000 mass murdered by Saddam are not too happy either.
