I'll have to agree with Blackxylon , because it's obvious that game controllers aren't made for good aiming. The aiming of the guy playin' is clumsy, he needs like 2 seconds to focus on that electricity conductor (or whatever it is). With a mouse you can do that focusing in less than a second :D

At the start ur kinda like a special ops dude, then u get infected and ur arm gets all metalic from the infection and with he infection u get ur awesome glaive.

To answer your question.. No, you can't choose your own outfits. At the beginning you wear that outfit because you are trying to sneak around at first. Then it gets torn to shreds and you get the arm. Then as the game progresses, the infection takes over more of your body.
