the Mexican disarmed local police in border towns...why are we supporting them? gov perry should be more concerned with sealing the border not launching a preemptive strike into a foreign country...
IMO the threat of Mexico's drug cartel run occupation spilling over onto US soil is far greater than anything in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, and all the Arab nations combined.
The local and state police in Mexico are part of the problem. They are part of the cartels,so training local and state police is training the cartels who are in partnership with the CIA. Ask Vicente Zambada held prisoner in Chicago. He doesn't understand why he is in jail when they had a deal with the CIA. The biggest and most dangerous drug dealer is your "friend" who invites you to use drugs. That there is your terrorist.
Here is some more enlightenment. There is NO REELECTION in Mexico, so Calderon won't be president again. Calderon is not running for re-election. Remember 90% of funds are going to Blackwater and Dyncorp not to the Mexican military!
Mexico spends over 10 billion US dollars a year in the drug war so 300 million which mostly goes to Blackwater and Dyncorp is nothing, Mexico gets peanuts. Just to enlighten you, afraid of Mexico making a big deal about the CIA smuggling drugs, the CIA announced the "imminent collapse of Mexico". Then you have ATF allowing the cartels to armthemselves to the teeth. In other words Mexico gets almost nothing of the Merida initiative money, Blackwater and Dyncorp bank it.
Let me tell you how the Merida Initiative came to be. A CIA aircraft which was smuggling 4 tons of cocaine to the US was not allowed to land in a small Mexican airport that had been taken over by the Mexican Army. This aircraft crashes as it tries to land in a clandestine strip. When Calderon raises hell to Obama, Hillary rushes to Mexico and announces the Merida initiative just to pull the mexicans legs. 90% of the money has gone to Dyncorp and Blackwater.
Even in Holland where Marijuana is supposed to be legal(u just do not go to jail for it) we keep the drug kartels alive by focusing most on Marijuana, yet again year after year experst say making it (semi) illegal is the biggest problem.
The war on drugs does more damage each year then drugs did last few decades(not including legal drugs like alcohol and medican)
This guy is stupid how does Calderon want to be re elected? Mexico constitution only allows one term of 6 years.... proves the media has no clue of what they are talking about.
To bring about the North American Union, despite the despicable Rick Perry & his remarks, this "military" standardization has been in the works since the time of the loathsome, one-world-er, Vincente Fox. From Fox, through W, to O, this unionization of Central America to Canada is a done deal & their next major move is the elimination of the anarchic drug cartels---hence, our costly & never-ending war on drugs. To put an end to these NWO crimes, please consider Ron Paul in 2012.
keeping drugs illegal means you support drug cartels murdering innocent people. The ATF sends them guns, CIA,DEA help ship in the tons of drugs. The Big Banks launder all the BILLIONS in drug money.

Here in KY, we just grow our own. It really is a cash crop. It's estimated that if every man woman and child in KY smoked one joint per hour, they still wouldn't be able to consume the amount of weed that comes out of KY, the bluegrass state.
Or, or, OR we could legalize marijuana and take those fuckers out of business. A peaceful solution goes against Perry's conscience, I guess, if he has one.
@mert828 the problem is dealing with these mexican terrorists when you could be buying high quality, potent BC bud from friendly non threatening canadians.heck we don't even have guns.we deliver to your house.the only irritant is our 'mules' (we call 'em huskies) might ask you to put the hockey game on,or play a neil young record during the transaction.and we speak english, too, sort of...eh?
Legalizing marijuana will not take the drug cartels out of business. Drug trafficking is not their only source of income, unfortunately. But I agree with you, legalization will hurt them financially, and I back up that idea, too. However, the United States should do something to stop the illegal flow of weapons into Mexico, and as well tracking down the cash flow south of the border.
@mert828 Nope wrong. If you legalize marijuana that won't take cartels out of business because most of their revenue comes form cocaine sales to the U.S. So in reality you'd have to legalize all drugs. On top of that Cartels also make money off of human trafficking and sex trafficking not only drugs. It's up to the power and will of the Mexican people to end the corruption that exist within the Mexican government that allow these cartels to thrive in such power.
@OldSchoolSkill Yeah, the DEA!!! They supply more dope to our kids than any cartel in Mexico, Peru, Columbia, etc. Sure, we train all the cops and military in those countries, but not to fight the shipments from coming into the US, they perfectly inform them how to let it slip on by without the citizenry ever catching on! Not to mention line the pockets of the Military Industrial Complex (just in case they aren't getting enough from the few little wars we have going on!)
There are some bad mofos in these drug cartels. Now, as Obama has shown his power with al-Awlaki, we can declare them "enemy combatants" in our "war on drugs" and have them all executed.
the Medellin Cartel was a terrorist organization, they used car bombs to cause terror among the population, Los Zetas use gruesome killings to cause terror among the population, they could be considered a terrorist organization depending on your definition of terrorism
