more concentration at the time of the change of hands, but did not damage anything in the hang gliding and that's good luck my friend because the blow was hard and dangerous.
Hi Dave, this was crash seemed so unlucky.. like your only "crime" was to get tangled on that back wire for a split second
glad you weren't injured
I do want to comment though on helmet choice, I personally trust a full face protecting one. I know yours is very cool (and very common with experienced pilots). but this protection may be useful
here not slamming your face is were you did get lucky
another hazard is having the face shoot into a front wire to get slashed
Thanks for sharing, your aproach was looking great all the way up to the miss the right downtube & grab the rear flying wire, was the wind cross also ? Really like your intro video, I'm subscibing. You have came along way in a short time, hope to fly with you one of these days.
Your lack of profanity is commendable! Glad you are fine old friend...

look to the water: you can see a gust moving over the water (brown spot near shore), coming in to you.

Yes full face helmets are safer
No I will not wear a full face helmet

yeah i kind of missed that slam on the video.. but now that you mention it i guess you can notice it.
fair enough Dave. wont ask you to elaborate on that one.

bent the downtube slightly with my face. Actually I don't think a full face would have helped as the tube hit me in the nose / upper lip area.

the protection is thick and wide on those.. but you obviously could be right for this case.
the most important thing is that you'll keep nailing your more common sweet landings!

How often is often? I thought HG's only tucked due to turbulence. Who issued your rating, anyway? Whoever it was he should be taken out and shot.
