If you add a little sprinkle of water to the bourbon it releases more of the flavor.

This is not the first time that I have heard Four Roses single barrel get high marks. I am unable to add my own opinion as I am saving my bottle for a special occasion. I have heard similar rave reviews about Blanton's single barrel, but those rave reviews dropped off after just one good year

With Foru Roses using multiple mashbills and strains of yeast it would be nice to know which ones are represented in the single barrel. I have searched my bottle over for their four letter code but no info

Really great bourbon! I took the tour last year and never got a bottle. Just found it ten months later. Killed it in two weeks, with some help from a buddy.

4 Roses is great. Was not allowed for years now you can get it again. I wish I could. YES My old man AND Grandpa would sit down every Sunday before Dinner and have a shot of Old Grand Dad and 4 Roses. My grandfater even had globe with 4 full size roses on a black small stand. Sure wish I could taste that again. That was back in the mid 50's in CLeveland. 4 Roses actually is quite nice. Thanks for the memories. I'm out San Diego way now, So do a shot for me Stefan....thanks
