Though I'm not sure if a live action series could work... It would probably be best to go with animation, similar to the cutscenes from the games. They could bring back some of the voice actors too that way. Man, I'd love to see this happen...
So,we have seen the Pagan conflict,the Hammerite conflict and the Keepers conflict...Thief 4 might be focused upon the age of Chaos within the city,where the law of the hammerite is fading,the pagans fleeing to the woodsie...The keepers unable to keep anything anymore...All fight each other over rule over the city,Has the new Thief goes across the city...with Garret is her mentor.
Well,at least it sounds like it will be like this...

Yet sometimes you need to keep a legend be a legend...there are many examples from many games that show that sometimes you need to let the hero become something greater,and let the path be open for someone new...garret kinda made there an opening,and kinda think about it...being a new thief,and seeing garret has your mentor...kinda feels like you are Honored to learn from him =D
@Wharwulif Yeah, both options would be great, but I can't choose which one I'd like better.
And I'm right there with you, someone should be working on a Thief movie. Or better yet, a tv series on a cable channel like HBO. 10 episodes per season, starting with Garrett's training, then going through all the games, maybe altering some events, and expanding the world, the mythology, adding new characters and missions... I know, it could go sideways very easily, but if they did it right... :)
@NecrosHun06 Speaking of choice...If Thief 4 will hold the option of choice-like rubbing the place here,or going there instead-and each thing will hold different affects for later game-Then that will be awesome!
Becoming a Free roam thief that goes around,breaks into places and escapes the law...while having a mystical and amazing main story line...also doing "special orders" here and there =D
Sounds like you already had that idea in mind before of having a Thief movie or tv series =D
@Wharwulif I think that's what Ion Storm wanted to do, but of course the Xbox 360 and Eidos got in the way... Let's hope Eidos Montreal will deliver, even without original Looking Glass devs. Stephen Russell is a must though.

As much as I loved Theif 3, it's graphics have NOT aged well.
This game was definitely created during the awkward period between basic 3D models and more realistic models.

The cutscenes from T3 and the other games are all awesome, but the *ingame* cutscenes from T3 are the ugliest things ever.

@Wharwulif That would be great too and I'd love that story, but I really hope we'll control Garrett again, voiced by Stephen.
But if we'll have a female thief, I'd love to hear Tabrett Bethell as her voice. :)
