Night Patrol? Was that the one with Hal Holbrook and the Unknown Comic? I vaguely remember them and a Sergeant who hated that his cops were moonlighting at other jobs. If that's the one, it was absolutely terrible. I think I saw it on "Up All Night" with the great Gilbert Gottfried.
