no but what do you mean "a few days"? after 10 days you'll be totally out of practice so yes, you'll be almost back to normal. after 3 days no, you'll still be ok.

to stelize: it is most likely due to torn muscle fibers. if u have been doing it alot and it hurts u are working your muscles past their flexibility point and therefore have torn your muscle fibers. it will heal soon and you can continue. no biggie! :)
Overstretch, unproper warm-up, lack of strenght (most people don't know that flexibility must be balanced with strenght to avoid injuries), muscle tear... could be a lot of things.
