this is a cheap black acoustic ebay-violin.

I let my luthier instal a hi-quality new fingerboard and "pegheads" geared pegs.

Electronix: REBO magnetic humbucking pickup and onboard preamp.

Strings: Super Sensitive Sensicore Octave G, the rest is Thomastik Super Flexible Octave set (#2714)

Amp: Fender Blues Junior.

as a matter of fact he's very unpretentious and simple easy going singer/violinists he won the eurovision 2009 and broke the record guiness on the tally points,

he's awesome I love Alex Rybak a bielorrusian/norwegian raised singer/composer/violinists.

The Fender Blues Junior has a relatively short reverb spring (23 cm), but it sounds / "clanks" fine!

Just to be safe, I would make sure it has a Rebo pickup (like the one in this video). I don't think most "electric" violins are capable of producing this sound.
