I'm in college now studying film production and one of my assignments was to make a trailer for a favorite movie. I chose The Island, and let me tell you, this is not an easy movie to make a trailer for.

There are two main twists in the movie (in my opinion) *Spoilers*

1. The fact they are actually in the desert

2. The fact they are clones

You have avoid spoiling one of those, and its impossible to hide #1 given the last half of the movie takes place in civilization. And its tough to avoid #2

@DeanOrSomething Yes, indeed. It tells most of the major scenes. At least viewers know that there is no real island and people try to escape from the center. The excitement is supposed to be about guessing.

@MysteriousMaysa17 That's great. Visuals are a separate beast then text though. Most of the shots taken from the Island aren't even the same in Dark of the Moon. They are alternate angles that never appeared in the Island.

@TheInfiniteDraw Actually they did... Michael Bay reused a footage from the highway scene when one of the decepticon dreads gets thrown onto an oncoming car. In The Island, its a piece of metal that is flying onto the car, but for Dark Of The Moon, Michael Bay removed the metal and added the CGI robot crashing onto the car.. This bit can be seen in the trailer at around 1:29 in the trailer above..

@imranbecks They're both Michael Bay movies... You can't steal from yourself. Also, the reason he reused the footage was because in the original shoot a stunt woman got badly injured, and he refused to use that footage. There are only two scenes taken from the Island directly. Every other scene was an alternate angle shot that was never used in The Island.
