There shold be no path to citizenship 4 anyone entering the U.S. illegally. R policy granting citizenship to Anyone Born Here of illegal parents needs to be reexamined. Its outmoded & provides incentive to enter the U.S. illegally.
Election Day results sent a message Americans R -Fed Up with Mexicans. More than 60 Democratic House & four Dem senators, most pro-amnesty, were defeated. Those who kept their seats should be nervous about bucking the trend toward enforcement.
Just think what a positive change these young, educated adults will make in their native countries when they return! My wife is a legal immigrant from the Philippines, and we cannot get approval for her siblings to even come visit us in the USA. So I do not approve of giving citizenship to people who snuck in here when my relatives cannot even visit me.
Maybe the child was not at fault when they were a child and had no control over the parents Illegal entry into the U.S. But once that child has reached adulthood and then made a decision to continue the criminal activity of their parents by remaining here illegally, then they too are now a criminal.
We don't accept excuses that, " Oh I'm sorry I'm a Bank Robber, It's all I know because my parent raised me as a Bank Robber. NO.. That's no excuse for breaking the law.
If you are now of age, then you ARE "illegal" by choice. You have the choice to do the right thing....self-deport and apply to come into the country the right way. There should be NO opportunity to adjust status in country.
And no...you haven't proven that you deserve to be here. You have proven that our immigration system is UNFAIR to those who follow the rules. That's what you have proven.
Go home, wait 10 years--or as long as it takes--come back LEGALLY!
Folks from both aisles must compromise. Students should earn their residence but no free money and they can't request status for other relatives. If activists who are pro-dream act take this approach, it will much easier to pass this bill. I guarantee you that most Americans, specially conservatives like myself would be willing to support a bill that breaks the chain of illegal immigration but helps those students who are attending school.
Then we don't need a DREAM Act. As the law currently stands, the illegals, their children, and presumably any other semi-sentient life-form could come to our colleges, BUT they'd have to pay their own way! THAT is what they're bitching about: They're starting to EXPECT Americans to pay their way, even though it undercuts our OWN people!
As to the other, bills are currently in the works to repeal the chain-migration laws, and a surprisingly high number of LEGAL Hispanics are SUPPORTING the bills!
I don't agree, they're asking for legal status even though they came here illegally.
Nationwide, only 53% of Hispanics graduate high school, the lowest rate of all ethnic groups. The California Research Bureau predicted if exit exams were used, the Hispanic grad rate would drop to well below 30%.
Maywood, California is 96% Latino. Almost half the adult population did not finish 9th grade. Called the most corrupt city in the USA.
Their teen birthrate was twice the national average in 2000.
Liberals who support illegal immigrants are actually - unknowingly - siding with greedy U.S. corporations. Why? Because they (ie. liberals) are protecting corporations profit rich, cheap labor workers.
WHO WINS? Greedy companies AND illegal workers (earning FAR more than in Mexico).
WHO LOSES? The U.S. labor class (U.S. proletariat) via job losses to illegal workers & depressed wages.
Thus 120 years of American wage struggles fought since the Haymarket Rebellion of 1886 are being undermined.
Solution!#1 seal border with national guard and fence#2 Deport all illegals who commit crime any crime #3 Go after employers like never before #4 no social services for illegals. Then and only then after millions go home and stay home we can talk about illegal children and how to proceed
You deport parents and they can take their children with them. If they dont have some one here ie,family or a sponsor to take care of them they go to.Its not Americas problem.Parents put children in a bad position so scrutinize them for their failures why cant you people put blame where its suposed to be.blame them
I suggest they stop having them first of all.lol but for real they can choose to take them with them back to their country of origin and live there and apply for citizenship and wait in line like everyone else. Thats a fair answer...its the only one americans will accept
Yes, but you are saying that on the assumption that they will willingly leave America to return home. I highly doubt that they will. The only other option is to deport them and that's where the problem arises. You can deport the parents, but not the kids since they are American.
If they cant work here and they cant rent here and we send a message were not gonna help them most will go home and others will not even try if they know how harsh it is.They can take children with them and not only cam we deport them we will deport them.Trust me its gonna happen its already starting...

You can try to spin it if you want my friend but america has spoken and we in law enforcment are taking action yes its slow to get rolling but like a snowball it will soon be growing state to state
The plan im aware of from my superiors is #1National guard on border with guns to combat smuggling and to detain illegals trying to cross#2 jail for employers who hire illegals, and harsh fines#3jail time and or harsh fines for landlords who rent to anyone found to be illegal#4No social services to anyone who cant prove citizenship except in emergency situations. Were gonna make it so hard that millions will go home.when were comfertable with numbers we will proceed with caution
I don't see the government seriously cracking down on illegals any time soon.
I worked at a florist who employs many Mexicans. Not because he is looking for cheap labour, but because those are the only people he could find in this area that can make proper floral arrangements.
If the government was to deport these people his business would crash.
Finally, someone I can have an intelligent conversation with. I have said the same thing for a long time, but I'm always blown off as a racist, bigot, intolerant, or all three.
