  • merci a vous qui d'être venu libérer mon pays des nazis thank you for all !!!!!!!!

  • Platos,- Only the dead have seen the end of war

  • I honor and salute the men of E Co.! They will always be my heroes. CW5 US Army Retired Viet Nam/Iraq

  • Absolutely, it was the combined efforts of young men from many nations that defeated Hitlers Reichand we salute them all for their sacrifices. The men of Easy were just a small part of the expeditionary forces, but still their story reminds us all now and to come of just that fact.

  • @jettrink60 Any interesting passages in those letters you can share?

  • Man I hate when people do tributes then use clips from movies. Stick to the real people, not actors.

  • At 1:19, is a photo of soldiers w / one holding Nazi flag. My uncle, William J. Torpie Jr. from Massachusetts, is standing just to the left and one row behind soldier w/ flag.

He was KIA 1 July, 1944 in Normandy. My grandparents and my mother never got beyond the terrible grief of his death. That feeling stayed w/ them until their own deaths. His body was returned to US after WW2 and is buried in Brookline MA w/ his parents and my mother, his only sibling. RIP all of you.

  • @markobrien16 Your uncle is a great hero Mark. The grief of your mother losing her only brother, and your grandparents losing their only son must have been awful for them.

  • The second and third shots are of the "Filthy Thirteen". Two of it members are Jake McNiece and Jack Agnew(RIP Jack) They were a part of the 506th HQ Demolitions & Sabotage.

  • So this is Band of Brothers theme, eh?

    Good!

  • Why always just the americans who gets the applaus`? it was all the Naitons who fougth aginst them who should get a applaus not just the Americans, but the americans who fougth ARE heroes!

  • @skogsmaur250 The only reason these guys get videos on them is because everyone knows who they are, BECAUSE of Band of Brothers. If everyone knew about all the other PIR units they would all have videos like this.

  • im in the u.s. Army and i HATE when people call me "hero" the only heroes are the men who have fallin in combat. The only soldiers who have seen the end of all wars are the HEROES who have been killed in battle.

  • A man in a uniform is a powerful man, but sometimes they know not to manage. a man who fights for their family and children is a hero. the one who fights for himself and friends that she is a hero to the frontline. I'm proud of them! and that no one can diminish me

  • i ask youtube... was the 506th the largest of the airborne or something?

  • You're wrong jacobcheese, I don't care what Obama and Pelosi tell people, without the U.S. fighting man of World War II, it would have been a much different outcome.

  • @martel732 very true. if we didn't enter the war the world would've been in a whole mess of trouble

  • @bikepeddlar6

you americans love to pat yourselves on the back, dontcha? The war would still have been won. It maybe would have taken longer, but we would have finished it.

Granted, the Americans did a fantastic job and I could never thank them more. They, AS ALL THE ALLIED SERVICEMEN, are heroes.

  • @RexMundiUsurper very true. all all allied servicemen are heroes. no doubt bout that. but you are wrong. because if we didn't enter the war. i doubt very much so that germany would've fallen. because if we didn't enter the war there would'nt have been a western front. meaning the germans could focus much of there effort's on the eastern front. great britain would've fallen within 6 months to a year. the war would've gon in a total diffrent direction

  • @bikepeddlar6

you know, I think I may have came off half-cocked in my last comment. For that, I apologise.

But, after thinking about it, I think you may be somewhat correct in your assumption. However, I still think we would have won, but it would have been a much harder, and definitely longer, fight.

I give my respect and eternal gratitude to the Americans for their help.

  • @RexMundiUsurper after thinking about it i think i may have been wrong as well. because after researching about it i found that the germans had about 4 million troops on the eastern front. and about 2 million on the west front. the russians captured berlin all by emselves. so i think if it was just england and russia vs germany it would've taken much longer. but u can't forget about the japanese. so who knows wat would've happened

  • @bikepeddlar6

It was the Japanese that got me thinking. From what I recall, it was the Americans who bore most of the brunt against them (as well as ANZAC). Canada fought them as well, but I think it was only in Hong Kong.....I'll have to research that a bit more.

Anyway, the Americans sure took a lot of the strain off of the allies....on both fronts.

  • @RexMundiUsurper yeah. mainly the americans fought the jappanese. i think the australians helped to though.

  • @martel732

you're simply wrong. It may have taken longer, but we would still have prevailed.

  • WTF is Ptv Blithe doing there staring at the sun... Jesus!

  • Nous devons beaucoup aux Gars de la 101 ET ils ont payés beacoup! D.ieu les garde en son pouvoir et PLUS JAMAIS CA!

  • GOD BLESS THE MEN OF EASY COMPANY AND THE 101st

  • These are the best of the Greatest Generation. They did not complain, they just stepped up and took on the problem. They epitomize the idea of being American.

  • Being that you are from vast world power of New Zealand, there are no worries about anything you say. The only contribution to the world that your country has done is assist in producing the "Lord of the Rings" Trilogy. Enjoy fantasy land do something about your delusions of adequacy.

  • @craigewithane thats a very ignorant comment. New Zealand and Australia contributed so much to the war effort.. long before America entered in ww1 and ww2.. And please dont talk about your country as though you were there or you were the one doing the fighting.. and neither should he.. but he if wants to be patriotic let him.. dont put him down

  • They are like the meaning of patriotic

  • CURAHEE

  • The normandy drop wasn't for the better of the U.S as stated in your video description. It was for the better of france and the small island in the british channels 'Guernsey' < go there, cool place :) went with my school and went in the german underground hospital and in a german occupation museum ;]

  • wow when did shift die in band of brothers we survived the war he was the first one sent home dude

  • Shifty Powers died in June of this year. He lost his battle to cancer, but will be forever remembered for the way he helped win the battle of Europe.

  • The true heros of WW2 were not just AMERICAN!!!! THEY WHERE FROM ALL NATIONS!!! AMERICA DID NOT WIN THE WAR!

  • we might as well have

  • @jacobcheese : Damn true ! Remeber about all nations ! it was WORLD war 2 !

  • @jacobcheese this is a video about an american company who did alot more than most, if you don't like it then leave.

  • @jacobcheese don't get me wrong i totally agree with you but there are some white individuals that think other wise . by their understanding only the white man did any thing all others just stayed home and lazed around only the white man made america what it is today. if it wasn't for all those nations coming to american soil and defending it most white people would have never had an america to say get out wetback get out african. tell im wrong .

  • @jacobcheese

if not for america all of europe would be speaking german today. SO GROW UP DUMMY!

  • @mys54 everyone fought in the war men , women and children they fought for survival and if it were not for each and every one of them we would not of won soldier or civilian young or old it is ovbious that america had an impact on the wars out come but then so did the british, the french, the russia even the germans them selves.

  • @jacobcheese everyone fought in the war men , women and children they fought for survival and if it were not for each and every one of them we would not of won soldier or civilian young or old it is ovbious that america had an impact on the wars out come but then so did the british, the french, the russia even the germans them selves. i agree with what you say and i support you and hope that others can learn from this

  • The cens in this video is of a serie band of brothers, dedicated for Easy Company or E. Company.

  • True, Tama. This video is dedicated to the true heroes of WW2, Major Wnters, Easy Company and the American people.

  • very good video

  • GEWELDIGE VIDEO,mag ik het muziek nummer lenen voor een video special op 6 juni 65 jaar d-day,gaarne de totel van deze song, bij voorbaat bedankt.

  • yall are so stupid...and btw u forgot korea...which was much worse than vietnam and of course iraq..plus the english are just mad that we have our own country..and they got their asses whipped...twice..and u can also thank us for london...otherwise itd still be in rubble. and if u think otherwise than it seems ur the one without education. read marshall plan or the battle of britan and see how many american pilots and american dollers went into your country

  • Easy Company. True heroes. Bought peace to the world. We owe them so much.

  • they are mine favorite soldiers

  • Only 2 original pictures of E 506th in the whole thing. Not good. ANd evan then both pictures arnt all of E 506TH men. Remeber there was 26 other PIR infantry companys in the 101

  • WWII could not have been won without the Americans, thats a fact that cant be argued with but you contradict yourself by saying"it could have been won without the Brit's. All we needed was your land " therefore you thick shit you could not have done it without Britain.Try reading a book for once in your life and don't just belive everything you see on the internet.

  • What the fuck besa1. i didnt mention the whole brit american thing. I simply reminded people that there was infact 26 other parachute infantry companys in the 101st and to still remeber them despite them other 26 companys not having a book writ about them

  • Whole 101st merit for glory, like all other WWII heros. R.I.P.

  • Bullshit! those are screenshots from Band of Brothers made black & white

  • now this is real and who the true killers of heros are!! nice!!

  • God Bless the world (and the 101st)

  • Great vid. It was a different time. It must have been great to come home to a heroes welcome. If you did come home. And there weren't any fruit cakes back home protesting against you. The ones yelling the loudest never served and never would. I get so angry when I hear those code pink and the world won't wait fags. In a way I wish they'd start the draft again, so those faggots would either serve or go to Canada.

  • God Bless America.

  • doesnt matter bout the crackling sounds...this is one of the best tributes ive ever seen to Easy Company and the whole 506th P.I.R...great job!

  • la musique super avec la vidéo

  • Ouais c'est musique assez bonne.

  • Thank you, thank you to these boys who give their lives to bring freedom in Europe!

  • my grandpa was in the airbourn he would be proud to see this

  • Thank you...

  • "In the Battle of Britain, fought not only by the English, the US were there too" are you on glue. There were less than 10 American pilots that took part, the Pearl Harbour film was not a documentary and Ben Affleck was not a real pilot..The Americans didn't get involved in the desert until the end of '42 by which time the Italians were finished. The first time the USA fought any Germans at Kasserine Pass they got their arses kicked, but could not have won without them. FACT

  • you sound negative in pretty much all your comments. Are you mad my friend? did you fight in ww2? you comment like you were there fighting the Germans, Italians and Japs by yourself. I understand you are putting in your 2 cent cause you were there but stop being so bitter towards everyone here cause we were not there. I'm sorry

  • You have got the wrong end of the stick. What I was doing is stating facts and correcting someone else, you need to read things. What I don't understand is why you think I am mad, negative and bitter towards everyone here.Iwould appreciate a reply,my miss guided "friend"

  • That happens when a battle hardened army like the Germans fight a force that is still green you moron. Monty was an idiot and England survived the Battle of Britain only because of Hitler's idiocy. WWII could not have been won without the Americans, it could have been won without the Brit's. All we needed was your land.

  • Are all yanks as retarded as you and EasyCompanyAirborne you would not have won with out England as they were fighting while you yanks were sitting on your hands! And it could not have been won with out the ussr india canada or the aussies! stop watching your dumb hollywood films! And as beesa1 said pick up a book! you thick retards!

  • beesa. I realize that Ben Affleck is not a real pilot, but was playing the part of an American pilot. The pilot played a heroic part in the Battle of Britain, went on to down many Japanese planes at Pearl Harbor and finished up bombing the Japanese in the Dolittle. I think this is heroic stuff. The pilots were presented with the unique Medal of Honor from President Roosevelt, the highest award offered to anyone in World War II.

  • My Grandfather Joseph P Whitecavage Jumped in with Easy Company the 506th of the 101st. the night of the invasion...Quite a guy. made it home in one piece and told me years later (he Was A Coal Miner in NEPA.) That Mineing Coal was like a walk in the park compaired to the walk he took through France with his BROTHERS of Easy Company.

  • Yes, rrw. Easy company went through more hell than anyone else in the war. My father and uncles were in Cassino, Crete and the battles of Cyrenacia. My mother said they were picnics compared with what Easy Company went through. My father only had to face a column of 45 panzers, and they were all wiped out. Easy Company men faced more than this every day, and always won. They are the true heroes. Men who are defeated are shamed. Only victors are heroes.

  • Men who are defeated are shamed. Only victors are heroes. What a totally dimwitted and unintelligent thing to say.You don't have a clue what you are talking about, thats a shamefull thing to write.

  • beesa. How would you know. You are from the UK presumably, and your country has never faced defeat. You always get away quickly, if war comes your way, like in the Pacific or France. I know that my uncle faced the shame of defeat at Cassino. The English officers were very insulting about the men at Cassino. You don't understand. Men who lost in battle were considered cowards. The same happened in Vietnam. Soldiers there were considered losers by their English counterparts.

  • "You always get away quickly, if war comes your way, like in the Pacific or France". Interesting comment from a guy who's country is listed as Switzerland.Switzerland is a country that shits its self a the very mention of the word trouble. We faced defeat for the first 3 years of the war you fool

The British were involved in the PTO from start to finish not as heavily as the USA but involved none the less.I stick with my view that you are dimwitted and you really should brush up on your history

  • England faced defeat ine the first 3 years. True. Then America came in and saved it. Before America came in, the English retreated back home. The only direct threat was from the Germans. In the Battle of Britain, fought not only by the English, the US were there too. The Italians were busy attacking in a lot of other places. The English stuck the colonials there to face the Italians, who were all over the Mediterranian and North Africa. The Americans came in and then defeated the Italians.

  • swanningaround

"You are from the UK presumably, and your country has never faced defeat. You always get away quickly, if war comes your way, like in the Pacific or France."

I am sad at the low level of Education of some yanks!! they watch to many gong ho hollywood films! And think they must have won everything coz hollywood said so! you lie yourselfs into history!!

  • paddy. Today, every American citizen is a shining light. People admire each and every one, and look up to them for mentorship and as a fine example. Why is this? It is because of what happened in WW2, in Vietnam and now in Iraq. Whenever the US entered, you are surrounded by Victory!

I do watch American documentaries from experts like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Without Easy Company, the war could have been lost. We owe so much to Major Dick Winters!

  • "swanningaround

I do watch American documentaries from experts like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg."

Yep!!! That about sums up the level of your Education !!

But you retard you had no victory in Vietnam And have none in Iraq

  • My education may not be as good as yours. But I take my lead from the greats like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. By the way, America did win in Vietnam and Iraq.

  • "My education may not be as good as yours

But I take my lead from the greats like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. "

Look what you bastards done to E T !!!

you have no education at all if an actor and film maker is where you get your facts! sad little retard!!

but facts moron you got kicked out of vietnam, you lost!!! Try looking it up or reading a book for a change And if you won in iraq why are men still dying over there!

  • All I know is that the US is still helping the Iraqis adjust to peace. The English left after they achieved their big victory. They are only interested in glory and image. American people are genuine.

  • Why oh why do you like making yourself look a dumb shithead!!! the brits are still there!!

And its the brits who are helping!!

the us are the most hated! they are best at torturing their prisoners!! and killing little cats by throwing them off cliffs! FACTS!!!!

  • paddy. The Americans are liked. It is you English who swear at other folk. Amerians are civilized people. No one likes the posh English.

  • HAHAHA What a twat!!

I have just worked it out ! you are to stupid to be an adult !! The things you say You must be a ten year old !!

  • "swanningaround

It is you English who swear at other folk. Amerians are civilized people. No one likes the posh English"

I say old bean. you are a cad! And we do not swear at folk!! you stupid fucking retarded cunt and a thick shithead

  • It is true, the English are hated. Mainly for standing up to Hitler, most people had no problems with Hitler unless he attacked them.

  • Warrior (LOL)....Bonehead...Were you born plain daft or did you have to practice ?

  • Rule Britiania

  • if thats so true then how come england hasnt been invaded for 2000yrs? if where so unliked oh yer its because we have the best army in the world

  • GWRtom. Not been invaded? What about the French, the Dutch and the Swedes?

  • The US is angry that the Iraqis are trading in the Euro. You yanks got done over by the french, spanish, italians and Germans I am afraid. The UK had finished its job with alot less deaths. Job done, now for Afghanistan.

  • Iraqis are trading in the Euro??????

  • They sell their oil in euroes.

The americans have been done I am afraid.

  • Comment removed

  • just shut up. no one here wants to hear your bullshit. were not interested in todays news, were trying to watch the goddamn video. grow a pair. fucking douchbag.

  • They didn't actually get defeated in Vietnam. The NVA just fought long enough not too lose. Politics and public opinion got in the way. I have read many books

  • the name of the song friends?thank you

  • The song is called "Requiem for a soldier".....regards

  • it's band and brothers's music

  • Thanks for helping to preserve the memory of their sacrifice. Had the pleasure of meeting

Jake McNiece and his wife this past June (08) and look forward to doing some again next June.

  • Awesome!! Airborne!!!!

  • Wonderful video!! =)

    I come from Normandy!

    I'm a Normande girl =)

  • No The E on the helmet is for the 326th Engineer regiment and the spot on the left of it indicates that it is in the third battalion. E company 506th has the ace of spades on the side fro the 506th P.I.R and a tick on the bottom indicating 2nd battalion so it could be either fox dog or easy company. Three companies per battalion...

  • The first picture is 502nd 101st Airborne.

  • no i think its from 512nd, its from the brother in arms videogame

  • oh well in the pic it says 502nd fox company but ok dude

  • no it doesnt!

  • Eisenhower speaks with U.S. paratroops of the 502d Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division on the evening of June 5, 1944.

    ya

  • on brother in arms?

  • why are we talking about a video game for!

  • lol i though u were talking about the video

  • The paratroopers with the war paint were members of the famous "Filthy Thirteen" Jake McNiece's detail

  • Where did you get these pics?

  • Most of these pics are frome the tv sereis band of brothers, wich is all about e company..

  • I meant the pictures wich weren´t from the series. Do you have some good pages, where I can get some pic´s?

  • I know tha the music is the BSO of Band of Brothers, but who is the letter of the song?

  • Ordinary man, extraordinary times!!

  • nice video

  • STUPID (just kidding) it was cool

  • Wow Jacobcheese! I saw maybe all of your videos, but this is the best!I live in Hungary and I want to be a reenactor so I started to collect my basic paratrooper gear... Some of the pictures from the BoB look like original photos from the War!

  • CURRAHEE!! INMORTALS
