Absolutely, it was the combined efforts of young men from many nations that defeated Hitlers Reichand we salute them all for their sacrifices. The men of Easy were just a small part of the expeditionary forces, but still their story reminds us all now and to come of just that fact.

WWII could not have been won without the Americans, it could have been won without the Brit's. All we needed was your land.
Are all yanks as retarded as you and EasyCompanyAirborne you would not have won with out England as they were fighting while you yanks were sitting on your hands! And it could not have been won with out the ussr india canada or the aussies! stop watching your dumb hollywood films! And as beesa1 said pick up a book! you thick retards!
beesa. I realize that Ben Affleck is not a real pilot, but was playing the part of an American pilot. The pilot played a heroic part in the Battle of Britain, went on to down many Japanese planes at Pearl Harbor and finished up bombing the Japanese in the Dolittle. I think this is heroic stuff. The pilots were presented with the unique Medal of Honor from President Roosevelt, the highest award offered to anyone in World War II.
My Grandfather Joseph P Whitecavage Jumped in with Easy Company the 506th of the 101st. the night of the invasion...Quite a guy. made it home in one piece and told me years later (he Was A Coal Miner in NEPA.) That Mineing Coal was like a walk in the park compaired to the walk he took through France with his BROTHERS of Easy Company.
Yes, rrw. Easy company went through more hell than anyone else in the war. My father and uncles were in Cassino, Crete and the battles of Cyrenacia. My mother said they were picnics compared with what Easy Company went through. My father only had to face a column of 45 panzers, and they were all wiped out. Easy Company men faced more than this every day, and always won. They are the true heroes. Men who are defeated are shamed. Only victors are heroes.
Men who are defeated are shamed. Only victors are heroes. What a totally dimwitted and unintelligent thing to say.You don't have a clue what you are talking about, thats a shamefull thing to write.
beesa. How would you know. You are from the UK presumably, and your country has never faced defeat. You always get away quickly, if war comes your way, like in the Pacific or France. I know that my uncle faced the shame of defeat at Cassino. The English officers were very insulting about the men at Cassino. You don't understand. Men who lost in battle were considered cowards. The same happened in Vietnam. Soldiers there were considered losers by their English counterparts.
"You always get away quickly, if war comes your way, like in the Pacific or France". Interesting comment from a guy who's country is listed as Switzerland.Switzerland is a country that shits its self a the very mention of the word trouble. We faced defeat for the first 3 years of the war you fool
The British were involved in the PTO from start to finish not as heavily as the USA but involved none the less.I stick with my view that you are dimwitted and you really should brush up on your history
England faced defeat ine the first 3 years. True. Then America came in and saved it. Before America came in, the English retreated back home. The only direct threat was from the Germans. In the Battle of Britain, fought not only by the English, the US were there too. The Italians were busy attacking in a lot of other places. The English stuck the colonials there to face the Italians, who were all over the Mediterranian and North Africa. The Americans came in and then defeated the Italians.
"You are from the UK presumably, and your country has never faced defeat. You always get away quickly, if war comes your way, like in the Pacific or France."
I am sad at the low level of Education of some yanks!! they watch to many gong ho hollywood films! And think they must have won everything coz hollywood said so! you lie yourselfs into history!!
paddy. Today, every American citizen is a shining light. People admire each and every one, and look up to them for mentorship and as a fine example. Why is this? It is because of what happened in WW2, in Vietnam and now in Iraq. Whenever the US entered, you are surrounded by Victory!
I do watch American documentaries from experts like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Without Easy Company, the war could have been lost. We owe so much to Major Dick Winters!
My education may not be as good as yours. But I take my lead from the greats like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. By the way, America did win in Vietnam and Iraq.
But I take my lead from the greats like Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. "
Look what you bastards done to E T !!!
you have no education at all if an actor and film maker is where you get your facts! sad little retard!!
but facts moron you got kicked out of vietnam, you lost!!! Try looking it up or reading a book for a change And if you won in iraq why are men still dying over there!
All I know is that the US is still helping the Iraqis adjust to peace. The English left after they achieved their big victory. They are only interested in glory and image. American people are genuine.
The US is angry that the Iraqis are trading in the Euro. You yanks got done over by the french, spanish, italians and Germans I am afraid. The UK had finished its job with alot less deaths. Job done, now for Afghanistan.
just shut up. no one here wants to hear your bullshit. were not interested in todays news, were trying to watch the goddamn video. grow a pair. fucking douchbag.
They didn't actually get defeated in Vietnam. The NVA just fought long enough not too lose. Politics and public opinion got in the way. I have read many books
No The E on the helmet is for the 326th Engineer regiment and the spot on the left of it indicates that it is in the third battalion. E company 506th has the ace of spades on the side fro the 506th P.I.R and a tick on the bottom indicating 2nd battalion so it could be either fox dog or easy company. Three companies per battalion...
Wow Jacobcheese! I saw maybe all of your videos, but this is the best!I live in Hungary and I want to be a reenactor so I started to collect my basic paratrooper gear... Some of the pictures from the BoB look like original photos from the War!
Hey guys.go to my webpage and see the video I put together of Frank Perconte. He doesn't live very far from me and I am going to show him this. Not that it can trump the movie but it's just one thing we can do to show out appreciation. In another 5 years -- 7 years just about 95% of any World War 2 veteran will be deceased.....ever think about that?
Very well done! We have a wonderful friend who was a Screamin' Eagle. He was in the 506th but not sure about which company. He jumped on D-day. God Bless our Veterans!
merci a vous qui d'être venu libérer mon pays des nazis thank you for all !!!!!!!!

What a totally dimwitted and unintelligent thing to say.You don't have a clue what you are talking about, thats a shamefull thing to write.
beesa1 3 years ago

The British were involved in the PTO from start to finish not as heavily as the USA but involved none the less.I stick with my view that you are dimwitted and you really should brush up on your history
beesa1 3 years ago
England faced defeat ine the first 3 years. True. Then America came in and saved it. Before America came in, the English retreated back home. The only direct threat was from the Germans. In the Battle of Britain, fought not only by the English, the US were there too. The Italians were busy attacking in a lot of other places. The English stuck the colonials there to face the Italians, who were all over the Mediterranian and North Africa. The Americans came in and then defeated the Italians.

I am sad at the low level of Education of some yanks!! they watch to many gong ho hollywood films! And think they must have won everything coz hollywood said so! you lie yourselfs into history!!
paddy6062 2 years ago

All I know is that the US is still helping the Iraqis adjust to peace. The English left after they achieved their big victory. They are only interested in glory and image. American people are genuine.

It is true, the English are hated. Mainly for standing up to Hitler, most people had no problems with Hitler unless he attacked them.

The US is angry that the Iraqis are trading in the Euro. You yanks got done over by the french, spanish, italians and Germans I am afraid. The UK had finished its job with alot less deaths. Job done, now for Afghanistan.
