As an owner of the 2011 Ford Edge ,I can assure you that this is the "newest" peice of utter garbage. I would give anything to have my dials back in the car.

If they doubled the speed of the computer in my car, it would still not able to offer the flawless, smooth, capacitive-touchscreen-suggesting interface that this video claims exists. MyFord Touch is hands down the worst in-car entertainment system that money can buy right now.

The dealer people kept describing all of the wonderful features that we got because the sales guy, the customer service rep, the F & I guy all thought the same thing I did. "Some features shown may be optional" refers both to new and old technology. This includes one option in particular in the '08 Focus I got. The salesman neglected to mention that although there's room for it, a SPARE TIRE is not included. I didn't discover this until I got a flat just two years after and one-thousand miles away from home.
I've been an import fan since the mid 1990s but what Ford has been doing over the last 5 years is incredible. This is something I would expect in a 7 Series, S Class, or LS460; not a $30,000 Ford Fusion.
If Ford made a RWD luxury sport sedan I'd sell my 335i to buy it just to get this feature.
The Canadian market does not drive Ford's decision, you should know better. They won't change their logo that they've had for decades in order to "blend in" with European cars, especially not for Canada.

everytime i see a car that's very nice, such as the ford fiesta or a brand new taurus, but the moment i see its symbol on the car, it is an immediate turn off. i would highly suggest they change it to blend with the foreign car makers... it's not downgrading, it's simply renovating.

What is wrong with these engineers? Why they keep on playing with the dials. -30 degrees from left to -30 degrees right dial is the optimum dial functional, esthetic. Why a needle that points to the ground? Is this a Ferrari? Besides, who would think that the dials in a such a Ferrari is nice looking? Instead of playing with the dials, add a rear seat arm rest to Escape.
Comparing Ford to BMW or Mercedes is like comparing A Big Mac to a lobster dinner! They have come a long way but this is not the safest thing to have on a moving automobile. Unlike the displays on a jet plane, these are too distracting and looking away from the road for a few seconds could spell disaster!
Ford has made tremendous strides! They're designed some of the most eye catching automobiles on the market right now. A great example of the new Fusion! I'm actually holding off buying a new car until the new Ford's come with the MyFord system.
I don't know about ur USA rankings and stuff, but in europe, ford isn't probably just as high in quality as BMW audi and Merc are, those last 3 are also more expensive. But one thing that european ford (yes, european, made and designed in germany) does good is handling of the car. European fords are one of the best or maybe the best handling cars that normal consumer can afford, im talking about focus and mondeo for example, and I've proven that these cars are good to drive. New 5.0L 412hp rated(acual 435hp) V8, 400hp+ deisel with 700ftlbs torque. and ecoboost are just a scratch in the serface for whats to come. Ford is winning over costomers from both import & domestic competiters. Ford is actually rated above Toyota, Chevy, Honda and the others in overall quality and reliabilty.

Comparing Ford to BMW or Mercedes is like comparing A Big Mac to a lobster dinner! They have come a long way but this is not the safest thing to have on a moving automobile. Unlike the displays on a jet plane, these are too distracting and looking away from the road for a few seconds could spell disaster!

Ford has made tremendous strides! They're designed some of the most eye catching automobiles on the market right now. A great example of the new Fusion! I'm actually holding off buying a new car until the new Ford's come with the MyFord system.

I don't know about ur USA rankings and stuff, but in europe, ford isn't probably just as high in quality as BMW audi and Merc are, those last 3 are also more expensive. But one thing that european ford (yes, european, made and designed in germany) does good is handling of the car. European fords are one of the best or maybe the best handling cars that normal consumer can afford, im talking about focus and mondeo for example, and I've proven that these cars are good to drive. Europe Ford FTW.

@u1430 I don't think so. Ford has came a very long way and is now the best selling highest rated car company in America. All new engines, All new models. New 5.0L 412hp rated(acual 435hp) V8, 400hp+ deisel with 700ftlbs torque. and ecoboost are just a scratch in the serface for whats to come. Ford is winning over costomers from both import & domestic competiters. Ford is actually rated above Toyota, Chevy, Honda and the others in overall quality and reliabilty.

Why was Lech Walesa's name on the Nav screen? LOL, they brought a Ford Edge to Poland....right. Otherwise, beautiful system. Now if only they could make the Edge look more in line with the Ford of Europe's swooping curves design language. All in due time I guess, since the Fiesta, Focus, and C-Max have all been imported for US markets. The design will hopefully spread.

@RoidinRichie gm's sales have also been climbing to, ford at a better rate, but gm's sales have also been increasing, ford sold more cars then gm for the first legit time in like 15 years last month but gm has already moved back ahead with its sales numbers. ford did take money in the form of a 60billion dollar loan so it wouldn't need a bailout, before Mulaly i couldn't stand ford cuz there cars were ugly and unreliable. but mulally is CEO of the year in my eyes
