Also: For SMB2J, fireworks do not appear at the typical 1, 3 and 6 points (that is for SMB1).

To gain fireworks in SMB2J, you must have a coin count that is a multiple of 11 (e.g. 11, 22, even 00). Then, the last digit of the timer should match this multiple of 11 (e.g. 33 coins, last digit in timer should be 3 for fireworks). You get three fireworks for the odd number combinations, and six for the even number combinations. So if you want six fireworks, it should be all in even numbers.
