They have modern looks at certain area's. But the modern look you're looking for is made up out of building blocks out of concrete which are starting to fall appart, roads with putholes in them etc etc. Because that's what New York looked like. Its not any better despite being built years after the older European cities. We choose to keep the way the older cities look because it defines our countries. It has a certain beauty even though you might not like it.

I'm English, been over the world and I have to say the most friendly people I've ever met are in North America. You always get the weird people on TV, if you watch the news in the UK you just end up getting such losers.
