Yes you can gold plate just about anything that is metal and even some plastic pieces. I would check eBay for a gold iPod.

t's a beautiful scam. Take apart an iphone and put the metal case parts in an electrolyte bath with about 10 bucks worth of gold over night. Increase the price of the plated phone inversely to the IQ of the potential buyer.

Well the 3G iPhones can only be plated on the bezel (sides) because the back housing is plastic. The 1st Generation iPhones (Edge) can be plated in a variety of different places, it just depends on where the customer wants it plated.
