I'm no record holder but I can cast. On a beach with a strong oncoming wind I could see the benefit of this as I have often found myself wanting a bit more distance but my only gripe is that carrying my gear is taxing enough, especially with 2 rods, reels, bait box, tackle, bite to eat, flask etc. I think this would be one thing too much to carry, especially down a sand dune or rocky incline.
The thing is is that if you catch a big game fish like say a little tuny or a cobia you have already lost 3 quarters of your line from the rocket launch and the little tuny or cobia could strip your line all the way out. Look at 1:24 look at how much line he has already lost. And grenade252 I support your theory.
who needs to cast a whole bunker and 10 ounces 1000 feet? You can cast 2 ounces and a small piece of bait 10 yards and catch fish. or a 1 once jig 30 yards and catch fish. or a 1/8 once jig 10 yards and catch fish. this is for retards who can not cast 2 feet and hold a spinning reel upside down. and you have to freeze your bait for it to work? lame. this thing blows ass
even on a good day the best of anglers cant cast a whole bunker and 10 ounces of lead 1000 feet off the beach. its not lazy its smart. you can now chum a beach properly with the surf rocket. launch out chum first bringing the fish to you. thanks for the comments fellas,i sell surf rockets all over the world and people are able to catch fish from the beach like never before. fight a fish for 3 hours 1000 feet off the beach weighing over 150 pounds,at the end of the day..... you did something.
I understand what you are trying to get over and that is your device can send bait and lead further than a very poor hand cast and I mean it is a very, very poor hand casting technique.
A little bit of practice/tuition and you should be able to cast by hand 100 to 150 paces without having to cart all that other gear around with you.

Learn to cast a bit and you and you will never run out so stop when you want to stop
