@bunnypatrole - The point is: designing a system in which a great amount of complexity is used to complete a trivial task, i.e.: smashing an egg. How else could you take 2 and a half minutes to smash an egg? :) The machine itself IS the point, not so much what it accomplishes. He could've just smashed the egg with a hammer himself, but it would not get many views....
