  • do you think these with good pickups as seymour duncan would kick epiphones standards les paul? i have a vintage v100 but i'm considering to get me one of these because it looks superb finishing and has the open book headstock as gibson, thing that is quite ugly on the v100, also how is the hardware does it stay in tune? damn having a bad time coz my vintage sound like a gibson, no joke! i might buy the v100 pickups and drop them in the bach if i get it ;)

  • @wretcheddog finishing is surely excellent where the vintage is quite poor, and overall has better woods and better sustain. for pickups you wrong, have you ever try some usa Les Paul?(base Epiphone is too far to compare)The Wilkinson PAF are great pickups for the vintage side, and even the stock Bach are very good but this one are pretty aggressive and ceramic. It is more a problem to find the right choice not brand. For tuning, change the nut, 6$ for a TUSQ and 10 mins of work and you solve :)

  • omg, wow, you and the SX kick ass 2getha :D

um, is this an SX eg2k guitar pack guitar? :D

    im aboutta buy it soon

...shit, this is still fantastic :D

  • @q0w1e2r3t4y5 thank you. this is a BaCH guitar, it is a czeck brand. is rather cheap but it costs anyway almost 2-3 times a sx guitar and woods and finiture are far better, so wont expect an sx les paul play like this. sx are anyway good guitars if you do heavy setup on it. i got 2 sx, the tele is pretty good (even with setup and some changes), the strat has nice woods but all the rest are terrible (tuners, pickups, hardware in general) and really need to be changed

  • @rafport oh, i see, i searched for sx les paul and found this too, i thought this is one of them. So it's BaCH, haven't heard of them yet, i'm Hungarian.

Then do you know Stagg les pauls? or any other lp brands? i'm in a search of a cheap but relatively good one. any little suggestion helps :) . oh, and i'm a starter, i just want my future guitar to last about 2 years without any need of repairs. only little changes and setup. thanks anyway:)

  • @q0w1e2r3t4y5 this BaCH is a great guitar, one of best les paul (i intend including Gibson full price ones) i tried. But BaCH guitar are not so easy to find. Another very cheap Les Paul with has a great tone (finishing are not so good, but it costs an half) is Vintage ones. Buy in an UK store (there are a lot of british musical stores online), there it costs much, much less than in any other place. Tone of those Vintage are really good, price is quite incredible, finishing decent. a good deal :)

  • @rafport thanks, dude, and now I'm asking you about the V99 or the VZ99 ones versus the V100. for a starter. thanks in advance :P (Here in Hungary, everyone says that buy V100 buy V100 buy V100 ... :D:D but i'm curious what do you say about it :)

  • @q0w1e2r3t4y5 there are important difference in woods, take a v100 which is made of the right wood (mahogany) for a les paul. you can find easily at a very low prices in uk musical stores like dolphin music, but there are a lot similiar with similiar prices. for their prices, vintage les paul are an incredible deal

  • @rafport alright. now i'm totally convinced about the v100, i'll spare money and wait a bit longer to have it. thanks for the support bro :) regards

  • Wow man that is an awesome tone! you wouldn't mind sharing would you?

  • @TheWyldeFire no problem, but is a very easy setup if my memory don't fail (and i guess it doesnt), pick the vox ac30 simulation in the pod, leave any setting default except volume put to max, put a plate reverb and that's it. no compression, equalization, modulation, distortion. just this :)

  • Sounds AMAZING! I have an XT as well, BUT i need a program to recond with. I duont think RiffWorks is what i need. simply because i dont think they have a way (or i just have no idea how) to TAKE ONLY THE PARTS I WANT, from the "riff" i just recorded, and fit it somewhere into a song...Do u know what i mean?

So what are YOU using? Or what can u recommend?

  • @GuitarMage69 i'm a mac user, i record usually with logic pro and garageband. anyway there are a lot of audio recording software (cubase for example... there are many) for any OS so you can easily cut, paste, modify any track removing some parts and duplicating some other- here in video i just using the webcam program, setting input as pod xt usb device

  • @rafport Thanks alot. I'll find something. No Rffrworks for me!

  • excellent sound

    ciao :) Raf

  • @rafport ottimo^^ grazie per la risposta :)

  • what are the settings you are using on the pod xt live? Great job, great tone

  • i should check, it is vox ac30 with all default with line6 settings and just a little high gain level, no stomp (pod stomps sounds terrible) and some kind of reverb, hall if i remember well. consider those pickups has a very high output, with a strat this tone is almost clean (there are other videos with this amp on my page). thank you for compliments.

  • Cool, if you check your settings, and let me know i'd love to try it out on my own! thanks

  • hmm I see. well personally I like goldtop finishes on LP best, so I'll be aiming for that if I choose to buy one

  • I looked at the BaCH LP Goldtop and wondered if it is worth the money, because i'm gonna buy a new BaCH guitar after christmas so please tell me if I should try it

  • my les paul is just excellent. the goldtop bach i saw has just the bridge p90, so it really depends on your taste (i use most neck than bridge for playing). there are several type of bach humbucker, mine are excellent but i never tried a p90. anyway it is a great lp clone, i've used some epiphone lp and really there are a great difference (much better the bach!)

  • Wich Type ?

  • That's one of the coolest LP i've seen and it sounded very good to :) I got a BaCH Explorer Cherry and it sounds good to, gonna buy a new one soon :P

  • yes i'm extremely satisfied about this guitar, maybe i'll buy other bach after this one :)

  • This sounds amazing similar to what I want my xaviere to sound like! -PK

  • search for used super distortion or for bach pickups from the czec republic homesite :) thank you

  • Grande suono, hai deciso se cambiare i pickup?? A me è arrivato oggi il materiale per rifare la circuitazione. Penso che come pickup monterò i Tonerider che ho a casa smontati!

    Ciao

    Luca
