  • He totally played most of "Tea for One" in that solo.

  • The best part of this performance is Jonesy's AMAZING bluesy piano in the background :D

  • Good version of SIBLY not their best. Personally I think after the '75 tour they were not the same. Even those close to them admit that they had reached their peak by '75. Afterwards there were ominous signs that the end was near. Tours from '77-'80 showed them to be a bit less than they were before.

  • they do sound better than any other band.. ( thats not as good as they normally sound like ) but they personality is just awesome THE BEGINNING OF THE SOLO suck it and the fuckin throw away off his sigarette THAT WAS AWESOME

  • led who :)

  • Coolest thing of all?? I WAS AT THIS CONCERT!!! JULY 16 1977 KINGDOME, SEATTLE

  • gotta love when plant just decides to yell SUCK IT even if the subject matter is totally unrelated to anything remotely sexual... hahaha

  • 5:29

  • plant since 1973 has the voice of a normal singer

  • I'm stoned man this is my drug,

  • Robert está ronco.

  • another crap performance!

  • @jokkergar What ??

  • @MusicRockNRoll they sound really bad in those years.

just look at the royal albert concert and compare

  • @jokkergar i love all versions, all are diferent, for me no one sounds bad

  • @MusicRockNRoll they sound really bad for what they were before, but is led zeppelin, drugged or not they kick ass

  • @MusicRockNRoll stress can really fuck your life

  • Jimmy Page can improvise anything !! the greatest of all...

  • one of their weakest shows and generally 1977-1980 is their weak era.plant and page are the weakest ones i think.jones and bonham amazing as always ;)for me their best era was 1969-1975 ;)

  • @ledzepguitarcovers of course,69-75 is the best and the 73 HousesOfTheHolytour was the greatest. After 75 heroin began to debilitate Pagey ,and Roberts` throat surgery fawked his voice up.Im pretty sure Robert had 2 throat surgeries but he should have refused and kept his voice like FreddieMercury refused and was none the werse for wear an tear.

  • This was the closest I ever came to Zep - was 17, living 300 miles away in Spokane, bummed out because I couldn't go...........

  • When plant says SUCK IT to open a solo, you better suck whatever he wants you to suck or you'll face the wrath of 4 gods

  • there's one thing in this world that would never be the same ; Early Led Zeppelin

  • the killer aspect of zep to me its always changing!! not the same guitar sound, drum beat, etc>>> they touched on so many styles!! to bad they thought it would turn to gold!!!!!!!!! nope!! 10+ platinum!! oops they made a mistake haha!

  • @TheLedZeppelin79 ...Indeed!!...

  • Page plays like He wants ! he wrote this extraordinary song and he is unique and a musical genius

  • even when they play their worst their music is still god damn amazing and out of this planet led zeppelin is rock n roll and there will never be another band as amazing and talented as them they have been my fav band since i was a kid and i listen to many different types of genres

  • 調子悪そうだな、Page

  • Page most likely wasn't on heroin during the show itself (it's been well reported that by 1977 he was a full blown addict) but he definitively was drunk. This is one of the worst concerts they ever did, only beaten by the disastrous gig in Tempe and a few other terrible off-nights in their later career.

Unfortunately it was this concerts and not one of the fantastic L.A. concerts that was professionally recorded & filmed, putting Zep in a rather bad light as a live act for generations to come.

  • 1968 till 1980 best era ever with the best band ther will ever be!!! no questions or other opinions this is just a straight fact!!!!

  • I don't understand to the people that said that this perfomance had imperfections. The only diference is that is not remastered, but Pages interpretation is as good as other shows

  • Why isn't this show remastered and released on DVD?

  • @brianpage100 One Word: Jimmy.

  • nice for me to see this after all these years, I was at the show. Zeppelin was my favorite band at the time, you would have had a hard time finding a bigger fan than me. Probally my biggest dissapointment was they started 1 hour late. When I saw them in 75 they started early...and well that was the greatest concert I've ever seen. The concert at the Kingdome was good , but nothing could top the show in 75. It didn't hurt anything that I was in the front row either.

  • i loved Jimmy Page in 1977....he was so human, the imperfections of his performances made me crazy....and he knew that he could play his songs in every way he wanted....

  • He was not on heroin here.

If he was he would be lying down and hardly able to move yet alone play guitar and walk around on stage.

However I am sure he was coming down off a coke high

  • like how he tosses away cig before solo

  • Sexiest man I have EVER seen!!

  • I wonder if Plant would do this today with just the piano accompaniment.

  • SUCK IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Page's inner thoughts from 0:25 to 0:39; "Uuhhh, what am I gonna play?.............................Oh yeah". Don't do heroin kids. Led Zeppelin is the only band that still sounds awesome even if the lead guitarist is fucked up on the shit.

  • Page's inner thoughts from 0:25 to 0:39; "Uuhhh, what am I gonna play?.............................Oh yeah". Don't do heroin kids. Led Zeppelin is the only band that still sounds awesome even if the lead guitarist is fucked up on the shit.

  • drugs dont fuck peoples playing up... just there motivation and attitude. people can play just as well when high as someone who has never touched a drug in there life.

  • NR 1 True Legends .

  • Isaw this tour 10 days earlier at MSG on 7/7/77. I can only remember when Page played this song. I kinda wanted to hear the record, untill he just started going in different directions, i was like in a trance, just along for the ride. The imperfections and improvisations were a welcome breath of fresh air. By the end of the song , i was honestly out of breath and in some sort of bliss. Kinda like after Good sex. lol

  • @humanbeing122112 wish i was there with you

  • @humanbeing122112 man they weren't at the garden on 7/7/77.

  • @DavidVIIIcool they played 7 nights in a row , 77 tour..cmon

  • @humanbeing122112 Well man, on 7/7/77 they weren't in NY. They played at the Garden 6 dates in June, but this was there first show since LA on the 27th of June. If you can't remember the date, personally Im thinking if you can't remember the right date im not sure if you were there at all...

  • @DavidVIIIcool OK, then it was 6/7/77, I have allways remembered all the 7,s as some sort of hogwash signifacance in my life. lol Thanks for straightening me out.... But please dont accuse me of being the type of no life douche bag, that would post some bogus euphoric recall on u-tube. i actually remember the show pretty well.. i even hitch hiked my broke 16 yr old ass to manhatten from Boston... this was back when hitch hikeing was socially accepted..lol.. you might be too young to get that

  • Funny how it's still better than 99% of the bands out there these days.

  • I like when Jimmy slips in that "Tea for One" lick in the middle of the solo

  • I keep seeing comments like "This is their best concert" If you think this is one of their best concerts, you're a moron.

  • I am soooooo tired of people pointing out jimmys herion problem.. Shut the fuck up and relize that they hadn't played in 3 weeks either... Its not like a 10th of the people on here can play anything like jimmy

  • a classic rock classic, fucked up by its creators . jimmy page is so smacked out he probably doesn't even know wether he's onstage or in a studio ,let alone knowing which city he's in. view one of the 1973 versions of this song.pure class !

  • still the greatest of all time all of em especialy page

  • Ok I am tired of people bashing on Zeppelin so I am going to give you a few reasons why this concert was shitty

#1 the place they were playing out (thing it was called the kingdom) was awful for concerts

#2 they had just taken a three week break

#3 Herion isn't good for you and we all know that so please shut the fuck up about it, I love this concert because I can appriciate the flaws

  • Imagine if page edited this and put it out on dvd

  • @brandontylerkaiser yeah he could sync the LA audio, take the best of '77 audio and sync it.

  • Na this show was cool but improved the film

  • when page has to play night after night no wonder he used hes the greatest guitarist of all time his music and background in music history prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt

  • I hear a bass in there. How?

  • @HRFTG john paul jones used pedals...

  • Ok let's try again...this isn't really a bad performance by Page here. His guitar has very little effects coming through in this recording..no echo or delay all of which make the playing sound better....if you play electric guitar through a speaker with no distortion or effects, it usually sounds ruff even if the player is known for accuracy which Pagey isn't...so ya gotta keep that in mind here as you listen to what he is doing...which is pretty hot if you ask me.

  • This reallynisnt a a bad performance by

  • OK, so Jimmy Page was living on heroin and cocaine during these concerts, and he wasn't completely focused and played sloppy ... but he still plays like Jimmy Page, right?

  • This song is very emotional

  • I thought the opening solo was pretty sweet.

  • heroin does not fuck your playing up. trust me. im an opiate fiend and a guitarist. when you are smacked out, it actually makes your playing sooo much better. now when you are withdrawing or jonesing for some junk, thats when problems start.

  • they did 3-31/2 hour shows for under $10, shit! I saw Steely Dan last year cost me $100 and they played for barely 1 hour! Don't get me wrong, I love Steely Dan but it was a really diappointing show, I'd pay much more than $100 to see these guys on an Ok night, I saw Page and Plant in '96 and they kicked ass. If you don't like the video don't watch it!

  • Achilles was Fire trUCKIN amazing n Seattle despite a simple mistake by jimmy.

  • this wasn't a very good concert by their standards, however listen to the version of stairway to heaven they played (the solos amazing), probably my favorite

  • I feel sad.....the great band = amateurs

    Drugs is to blame?

  • @mahmudaz Dude..... What are you talking about? Amateurs? I don't think so. This is a great version of this song. Just jammed a little different.

  • they sound great all throughout this song. a couple mistakes but it still sounds sick and has emotion

  • Say whatever you want this is one of there best concerts

  • Say whatever you want this is one of there best concerts

  • their all so fucked on heroin and blow haha

  • DRUG N ROLL!!!

  • You can't blame Plant for not singing perfect here.

They were touring like 3-4 nights in many venues .

Playing almost everyday for hours and hours each show. Nobody could keep their voice in shape like that .

  • led zeppelin are the fucking kings even when there fucking up there still better then most bands and im glad they played in seattle.

  • im sorry did you say HIGH!!!! lol so wasted he cant even play the intro right

  • @brennanloltehlol who are you to tell jimmy page the right way to play his song? for your information, the way he played it here is very similar the way he played it in 1980. i'm pretty sure he was just trying to make the song more sad and desperate sounding, taking it farther and farther from it's blues roots.

  • @elruchito aggressive

  • they sound so fucking shit here. apart from jones. they all suck here.

  • 3:26 funny :) | Plant breaks

  • My brain done hurt me some ma! He done did play a good string machine once apon a day... Didint he?

  • PAge is amazing in the 1977 live concerts

  • I use heroin on a daily and it doesnt mess my playing up. I still nail shit. I think he's more drunk than anything. People on heroin jam a good guitar. I know this cause I do and plenty other musicians famous or not.

  • heroin rocks huh

  • I was there, I didn't see page drink ONCE. Page chained smoked and probably snorted smack off stage, but that is just my opinion. He acted like he had jet lag, but I don't think that was entirely it. I think page drank, but probably on Caesar's chariot......his balance is too good for him to be drunk onstage.....

  • @scubaduba23 good to know. Your a true Page fan. I drink heavily daily and it doesn't affect my drumming.

  • appreciate it. I dont prefer my playing either way, but it can be done both ways. no matter what anyone says about the matter.

  • what a waste... you know thats how the band and the life of bonham ended right?

  • .. add heroin to that epic drinking and things could go awry.

  • damn... Page is really f'ed up at this one.

  • @zed0469 ? he's playing great. its better than the madison square garden version from TSRTS

  • hey please check out my band and let us know what you think!!!

subscribe to our channel if u like our music!

  • fucking jimmy really stoned, huh?

  • :'( heroine page???

    drunked bonzo :'(???

    fuck i love zeppelin

  • Well I was there to, kinda middle toward the back, and I don't remember them screwing up really, It sounded great but I have to agree, the echo off the walls in the dome was horrible! worst place for a show.

  • McCartney & Wings the year before actually sounded pretty good. May have had something to do with the volume level being a couple of notches lower, dunno.

  • herion fucks yuor playing up

  • yeah its ashame that such an amazing musician/guitarist got involved with the worst drug out there.

  • i would say it was more the 26er of JD he glugged prior every show, but k.

  • @NateageIV yeah, but it makes your music better better.

  • Listen to Bonzo from 7:00 - 7:20, ( bass drum )

  • Page wasn't drunk, he was smacked out of his mind...but still amazing & sloppy!

  • No, he wasn't smacked out of his mind, that came later that night in the hotel room, he did drink a lot of alcohol every show to hold off the smack so that was probably it, besides the fact that he hadn't played a guitar for nearly a month before this show. Kinda explains well.

  • Yeah he did drink a lot that night. When they got to Stairway, he still didn't miss a note and he was bombed LOL........... :) He always had Jack Danials Black Lable on his amps for all of his shows.

  • He did? I was there....Page was a chain smoker, didn't see him drinking at all........it's Daniels btw.

  • This is one of the best songs of Zepp, but one of the worst version... Page is incredible drunk, Bonzo is out of time and Robert is singing very bad,..

  • Page wasn't drunk, drunks have terrible balance, but heroin gives you a different type of confidence......relaxed confidence instead of aggressive asshole confidence.

  • Page had a 5th of Jack Danials on his Marshel and walked over and drank on it quite often. :)

  • Well I dissagree. It sounded great being there :) EVERYONE was in some other universe. :)

  • I was in the 300 level. There were, uh, isues with the sound.

  • Oh so you were up there with everyone throwing bottles of alcohol down to the 100 level and knocking them in the head? LOL Just kidding. That did happen a lot that night.

  • Yeah, thanfully, my drinking days were yet to really hti. What freaked me out was watching the trails of sparks as people were chuching M-80's down onto the floor. Never quite understood the logic there. BTW, still have my ticket stub and parking ticket!

  • Man I remember those M-80s' now that you brought that up. I don't know why that happened either. The crowd up front was totally out of control. I was in the front row being smashed like a sardine on Page's side. A few times, I couldn't breath so I got out of there and was over to the right of the stage where I could finally get some air. I don't have my stub GRRRRRRRRR but do have my shirt..........and of course the memories that I WAS THERE! :) Took us all night to get out of there.

  • do you remember all the firecrackers?

  • I was at this show. :) BEST concert of my life.

  • Really?! how was it?, where did you sit??

  • We didn' sit LOL. It was the King Dome in Seattle and there were probably 80 to a 100 thousand there. I was right under Page in the front row. We camped out for 2 days in line to get up front. The only time people started to sit down was when Bonham did his Moby Dick solo. It was really long and I remember the concrete vibrating in that huge cement building. They played for 4 hours with no back up band and the tixs were 10 bucks! :)

  • Oh yeah, you are really lucky, you also were lucky enough to actually witness the last live drum solo Bonham ever played =)

  • those chords John Paul Jones gives Page at the 1:41 -1:47 are just insane.

  • i think the bonzos performance wasent very good in this song... lets say he fucked up a little

  • This song is incredible, you just have to be high to experience what they are feeling!

  • You don't have to be high, though it helps :)

  • this my be bad in some ppls eyes but this is great to me cause it shows that even tho jimmy hopped on the H HE CAN STILL PLAY AT HIS LEGENDARY STATUS

  • jimmy lose hability because the drougs

  • Honestly 50% of Jimmy Page is better than 100% of anybody. hands down. mad respect for Jimmy Page.

  • I have to agree with you Slowhands, Jimmy once took me to the back and also came to my back door and it was better then anyone. I agree totally. ;]

  • you dick!

  • No Jimmy Page put his in my ass. I swear dude.

  • what do mean by page " coming to your back door"?;))

  • You know what I mean cowboy. ;]

  • to be fair its fairly rough, bonzo is spot on as he usually was tho, mores the pity he lives nomore.

  • Those of you posting negative comments are clearly crack addicts! This is a cool performance, warts and all...it's got emotion and guts - qualities that most of you punks will never possess.

  • jimmy play good

  • omg this is soooo bad:p

no offense tough, i love this band

  • For the people saying this is terrible there was a lot worse. The end of this concert is amazing, especially the Stairway to Heaven solo. And there were some very good shows they performed in '77 like the LA shows and the second Cleveland show was one of the best shows they ever did. The bad ones are scared in our minds.

  • Yea that stairway to heaven solo is the most beautiful thing ive ever heard

  • the herion

  • Plants voice cracks out of sympathy for jimmy who is totally gone. They should never have been on stage in that condition. Its like watching the old Zepplin playing underwater! Weird.

  • Man hearing Robert Plant's voice crack and John Paul Jones' Keyboard turned up so it could cover it up makes me so sad...I guess this is where everything started go downhill for them.

Nothing perfect can last forever. Rock on, Led Zeppelin.

  • I agree, it's genuinely heartbreaking to see someone so talented past his prime and struggling.

At this point, all of the band members except John Paul Jones were suffering through pretty devastating addictions of one sort or another.

  • THIS IS TERRIBLE !!!

  • Where did you get this video? Great post!

  • Niceeeeeee

  • yes he did, of course

  • I like how Robert tells the audience to suck it before Jimmy goes into his soloing

  • yes he did, off course

  • he says it alot in a lot of different songs live lol

  • why is everyone so sensitive about plants voice, its bad here, the biggest fan can admit it.

  • to me this is the best zepllin song..better than stairway

  • the smack really had Page here, wow...but he's still soooo good!

  • Awesome keyboard work by John Paul Jones here.

  • I hear that one man!

  • it's pretty sad to see how the mighty had fallen in 1977. Plant was a shadow of his former voice.

  • I can stop to say that is the best song.

  • everyone needs to lay off about the heroin honestly..

  • thank you for the update...

couldnt tell by all the comments....

  • and that was supposed to make you seem cool ...

honestly what kind of a duche comments on jimmys heroin use after everyone in the fucking world knows about it and especially after someone just pointed that out ....

    dipshit :O)
