Also, the AK-47 in killing floor is in fact a chinese Type 56, you can notice the difference by it's hooded fron sight. The original AK has protective ears for the front sight instead of a full hood. Also, I noticed that it has a Tantal type folding stock (with spade grip and folds to the right) insteald of the classic, MP-40 type, underfolding stock.

@IggyHazard No problem. Also, I'm playing CS again, this time with the CS: Reloaded mod, and TBH, it really improves the gameplay quite a bit. While guns still perform lously when unmodded, but then when you fully upgrade them, they work better, and I mean a lot better. Examples: The Maverick 88 can achieve with shots a spread pattern of a fribee disc at 15 meters and the AK-74 has pinpoint accuracy now. I should make a video to show you the differences.

SmP 2.4 gets the AK-47 and AKM right as they are among the cheapest guns in the zone, you have every variant except the RPK-47 and the AKMSU, and they have more felt recoil than their 5.45mm or 5.56mm brothers. You even have the AK-103 and 104. The upcoming SmP 2.5 will introduce new guns such as the RPD.

The ObLost one lacks the receiver ridges of an AKM. The one in Killing Flo0r is an AKM but they call it an AK-47. In this case, I'm including all AKs that use 7.62x39mm as one category.

You can tell by the curviture that it's not 5.45. I con't have CS or CS:S, but I could download it off of Steam. I just don't because it's not my style of FPS. As for a '47 carbine, the Killing Flo0r AK is fairly close. Not as short as an AKSU, though. Lo0ks like the Romanian tanker version.

I meant CS as Clear Sky, and also the KF AK is just an AK without a stock.

The KF AK has a stock. It's a Romanian-style side-folder but it stays folded all the time like the top-folder on the SPAS-12 in Far Cry 2 (which is even more ridiculous). And you're right about the AKS-47 carbine. It wasn't well-liked like the AKS-74U (aka "Okurok").

The reload animations in FC2 are far to0 jerky. Almost like every motion is intentionally exaggerated to lo0k "c0ol" (or "Hollyw0odized"). The AK in that game has not stock and the SPAS-12's stock is an unfoldable top-folder (as I mentioned before but feel compelled to reiterate).

I prefer the folding stock on the AKS-74U and the AK-74 over the AK-47 under folder stock or side folding. I find it hard to get a good cheek weld on the latter two. Iggy once again, two tumbs up! Awesome

I to0 have a preference for either fixed stocks or skeleton side-folders. Not a fan of underfolders, T-stocks, L-stocks, or those Romanian wire-frame side-folding tanker stocks (like the one on the Killing Flo0r AK).

Wire-frame side-folding stocks get all bent outta shape. I also prefer the muzzle brake on the AK-74 over the AK-47's. Thats if of course I had to pick one over the other.

Never noticed the AKS-74u from CS using ak mags, mostly due to never using it in eather game. I stick to my long arms, and avoid compact arms if they arn't for the secondary slot (which none are in CS)
