What most of you do not get is that yes it cost one billion but all of that money stays in Canada. Most of it goes into salaries for the police, they will pay back about 1/3 in taxes. The balance of the money will be spent on goods and services, thus this is s stimulas package to help the ecomony.

The one billion dollar price tag is embarrassing for Canadians. The cost is absolutely over the top and the Conservatives can't tell us why, except that 9/11 (a nearly decade old attack on a foreign country by terrorists, not protesters) warrants the cost. There are thousands homeless Canadian children and adults living on the streets of every city of Canada that could be housed, fed and educated for the same cost. Wake up, Parliament.
