Man, what an ugly venue. And Maria isn't selling out, look at all the so-called 'indie' comics she's worked with like Blaine Capatch who've wallowed in obscurity their whole careers and ask them if they wouldn't kill for a spot at a Target commercial.
"Selling out" - most comedians work for 20 years to get recognized-they pretty much live the life of a starving artist...I think it's a testament to how funny she is that she got the Target gig...endless touring has to get old after awhile and how else can a comedian become successful aside from movie work a la Lewis Black and David Cross (who are a couple of my faves) or possibly a talk show? Maria Bamford is simply one of the most clever and creative comedians I've ever seen...

Too bad talented people like Mary end up SELLING OUT by doing hideous Target commercials for xmas over-consumption. I'm sure it's all about the money... whoring for xmas money... residual junky, how sad. Let her type-cast herself into a corner, that's what happens.

@mikper7 I agree with you that Maria should "lighten up", especially her ugly selling out to Target advertising campaign, but you should not call her a "dork". Haven't heard that silly word in 10 years.
