Great video. I am hoping to grow some Kale here in Brazil, where believe it or not, nobody even knows what it is. As a vegan, Kale is one of my most important sources of nutrients.
@VeganDarkness , I like to grow kale but not really much interest here , kinda shame.. it is tasty! good luck growing and post your results.. or growing of it, woould love to see how you done.. ~Diane~
@SquareFootGardening5 , thank you :) I buy most of my seeds from commercial sellers where I get my supplies, I also pick up seeds where ever I can locally.. really no such specific brand but have use ferry morse, burpee, henry fields, park seed, harris seeds, etc, just depends on what I am looking for.. these seeds from the video got off of ebay.. just because I could not find any local this time of year.
Thank you for posting this video. I think it was nicely done. I have used heating pads for germination mats and water bed mats but I could only put on low, med or hi. How much is a mat the size you are using on the video? How old is that mat...how long do they last? Did you say you only used the mat for germination and then you didn't need to use it anymore? Does it use much electricity? Thank you. Smiles, Lark
4)Did you say you only used the mat for germination and then you didn't need to use it anymore?
I use them for germination and some propagation only, but in the growing season they are on pretty much a lot of the time as I grow lots from seed.
5)Does it use much electricity? To be honest not real sure, I need them so don't worry so much about it.. but I have them running on and off from Jan till April and now alittle in the fall
@dkulikowski , I also want to add the germinating mat is 120v, 220 watts , holds 5- 10x20 trays, there is also a smaller size in this style and the thermostat is separate in price. The price varies online..
please don't be a communist, let people rate and comment freely
I wanted to click like on it

@dkulikowski , Hi Lark, thanks so much for watching and your questions.
1)How much is a mat the size you are using on the video
This mat is a stated as a professional mat , heavy duty rubber, my mats are 22x 60 in size, cost can vary
2)How old is that mat?
2 of the mats shown are at least 10 years old, when I started really getting serious about germination
3)how long do they last? This will depend on where you have the mat located. You want to keep them in a dry area if you can.

@dianemummvideos
As you see I have had the mats for awhile..
