I cannot find this Filter Effect under any Filter Choices.

Is the German CS5 Photoshop Version different than the English CS5 Photoshop version?

The Title on the Toolbar says Camera Raw.

Is this a Plug-in for Photoshop CS5?

Where can I access this tool ?

Habe erst jetzt entdeckt, dass du auch schon Tutorials in Englisch bei Youtube reingestellt hast. Freut mich zu sehen dass du dich getraut hast. Ich finde man kann alles klar verstehen. Natürlich kannst du an deiner Aussprache noch etwas feilen, aber wer so viele Tricks zu Photoshop kostenlos verrät, kann es sich "leisten" mal ein oder zwei Wörter nicht korrekt zu übersetzen.

not sure the german translation but noticed 1 less slider on the new 5.6

which explains why my results are so different

But I have a lot of problem when I like to just cut one object of a shot and then have a white background. like this....

Ja so verkehrt ist es dann doch wohl nicht :) immerhin gucken wir uns ja auch als deutschsprachige User englischsprachige Tutorials an (mit einem englischen Adobe CS4), und leiten dies dann auf die deutsche Version ab. Ansonsten finde ich das Tutorial sehr gut, da man auch als nicht-Muttersprachler (in dem Fall englisch) dieses Video voll und ganz nachvollziehen kann :)

You could do the exact same process using JPGs. Open Photoshop go to File > Open as: There you got a dialogue box. Search for your JPG and make sure you check "Camera RAW" in this last dropdown-menu. You won't have all this information in a JPG but for this effect it's not that necessary. Now you can do the exact same effects as in this video tutorial. Hope that helps.

i think your talking about camera raw,, you need to use photos shot in RAW(Canon is CR2 and Nikon is Nef) ,photoshop will open RAW files in camera raw by default!if not look in photoshop preferences ....

It's called RAW convertor. It's built in for photographers who use photoshop. It open automatically upon importing a RAW image.
