Mashallah - always loved the africa vibrancy and vocals - this darood and love has always been allowed in isalm - hope the vast african muslim keep the spirit and not fall in2 the control of the kill joys like so called salafis and wahabi - things that bring us together in happiness like birthdays, wedding ceremonies, moulood, all bidah - their hearts are there4 hard and spirits cold and they are unnatural - africa will rise with the sufis and teach the true spirit of islam 2 the world.

I am Sunni and Loving this...Islam is one, how you can 'hate' one sect or another is just mad, I may not agree with aspects of Sufi or Shia belief, but I still see them as Muslims, in the end, only Allah knows the secrets of our hearts.

Thank you NurMedia for sharing this. I am Orthodox Christian by upbringing but I have been a strong follower of Sufism and listen to zikrs from other countries. I am proud as an Ethiopian for this unique brand of zikr. I loved all the comments left so far. Such great tolerance! O My God. Am from Somalia but lived there. One day Mohamed Awel chanted this nashida infront of me in a Mosque in Addis. He is amazing. I love Ethiopia and its people with no exception. Ethiopia is the icon in the world that stands for religion tolerence and co-existance. The world should learn from them. No wonder that prophet called the land a place where no one is presecuted.
