@TheMastaGlazy The HD 7970 is a brand new chipset with a different architecture. One thing that a lot of users overlook is that this new chipset is great for different apps and not just for gaming. If you are planning just for gaming, this card is ready for Direct3D 11.1 as well and the HD 6970 is not. We suggest in this case the HD 7970. Cheers!

This video card is no more no less a really powerful one. I haven't really checked out a lot about it but as I hear they got drivers problems so if it is so it has some more to give. Also guys stop fighting over AMD and Nvidia. Personally I tend to like more Nvidia products but both companies do an excellent work. Anyways, something I'd like to suggest would be to run these games on 1920x1080, I think games would run smoothly with that rig you got but I'm curious on the 7970's actual performance

actually its really pci-e 3.0 but all the availble motherboards now which does have 3.0 but it have the first revision which its not perfect it still have some bugs and i have seen alot of benchmarks shows that 7970 win in some 2.0 rather than the 3.0

If you want to try something for free, a great tool for live streaming that i use (can also be used to capture locally) is "xsplit", this will cost money too once out of BETA... but right now it's free to test... make sure you have a quadcore cpu for 720p+
