That has got to be the lamest soap theme EVER, and if the highlights of that particular episode were doctors/nurses sitting around in the cafeteria no wonder this show was cancelled.

@howcananyone Yes, I watched Jada Rowland as Amy on "The Secret Storm" during the last few years of its run in the early 70s. I believe Jada started on the soap in 1954 when Amy was 10, and Amy was 30 when it ended 20 years later. She was one of the few soap opera children who aged in real time.

In hindsight, we understand now why this music is so sad and mournful; it's lamenting the dreadful dying of this once wonderful show.

This is too sad to watch. This was when the soap was on its last legs. This theme sounds kinda like crime show. The late David O'Brien . . . the blonde gentleman in the clip poor guy. I can't believe this is 27 years old.
