This music is from a time when musicians had real talent and played instruments. Cherelle was a spinoff of the 'Minneapolis' sound that Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis made famous with 'The Time'. Hopefully the cycle completes itself in a few years, when Preppy and Mod Fashion returns with real music.

I discovered this duo and this song recently, but before the BET Awards. Very early this year I was watching this show call way black when the 80's and they performed on the show.
