save your money and get an adaptor and a takumar m42 lens or something similiar. You dont get autofocus sure but you do get really sharp lenses cheaper than digital lens
The takumar 50mm f1.4 is usually priced around £50-£110 uk pounds second hand on ebay and its quite briliant. There a re various types and the super takumar SMC is the best one.
Google up flickr and this particular lens to see how good it is.
Yup I agree. For an enthusiast like me its a lot of money. Im currently saving for it. Regarding the noise, I can hardly see it in prints, only when you pixel peep. My buddy recommends C1 or aperture as RAW developer. I saw an ISO 6400 on an 8x10" and it looked fine. Nothing to complain about. But thats just me. Anyway, I am just jealous you have an A900, or at least your father. Thanks for the reply.
Tanks! Although its not my camera its my dads even though i get to borrow it from time to time. The camera itself is wonderful! The shape of the camera and the design of the interface is the best thing about it. It gives of alot of noise over 800iso but I never shoot at night so for me it doesn't matter. Well worth the money if you are 100% sure you are going to take alot of photos in the coming five or ten years.
