Apropos "ruining Dubai's reputation": Rich people in Dubai have traditionally had vastly underpaid and otherwise abused Philipinos as maids--Now the Philippine govt. wants their unbelieveably crappy wages to rise from 700-800 Dubai dirhams to 1500, and what is Dubai's response?  Fire them and recruit 500 girls each month from Nepal at 400 dirhams!!! The Nepalese government is ALLOWING the Dubai government do this, and Nepal doesn't even have an embassy in Dubai!! I like your review because it's down to earth, its just you telling us what you experience without any commercialism. For me Dubai looks like a skyscraper forest that shades the sun and I hope thy can handle the problems concerning the pollution when the city grows. Why I think some criticize your video is that they might have some romantic view of Dubai and you just might have stepped on their fragile toes, keep on the good work.

I'm not gonna start an argument. I just say what I am told. The interiors are very poorly build. I visited quite a few of those buildings and I must say that the work is fairly poor. The price for the quality is insane.

I do not pretend to know everything about dubai or say that everything I say is true. My sources are a few investors and my own eyes.

Quality is actually very good for the buildings, developers are major international players such as Dutco Balfour Beatty and built to international specifications so will last the same amount of time as anything made in new york for example. The interiors are sometimes rushed but these are later sorted out during the snagging process.

I don't know why you say the owners of the building are loosing money. Prices have more than doubled in the marina even before completion and are still rising in value fast. So all the European and US investors have made a fortune so far by wisely investing here. Also the supply will not be enough to meet the demand.

The marina was designed to be self flushing so once construction is complete the water will be clean again.
