so am thinking of doing this but i was wondering how much of the plankton do you need to start with and can it bejust any vertilizer or doese it have to be a special kind
great videos i was just wondering if you could tell me or make a video on how you started your phytoplankton in the first place. for example if you had to buy a scientific piece with some phytoplankton and then mix it with something to make it come alive.. etc
Great to hear from one of our mates from down under. Glass is much easier to clean and sanitize if you're looking for something re-useable. I used plastic just so I could toss them instead of having to clean and sanitize. If you do go with glass, there are many ways to sanitize, though none that I've done personally. Using the microwave seems to be one of the easier methods. I believe you microwave the container for around 10 minutes to kill off any lingering microbes, parasites, etc.

Hi from Australia,
Great video!!! I've only read about phytoplankton, but never seen it. You made it much simpler to understand now.
I was just wondering whether it was better to use glass jars or plastic bottles?
thanks
