@xTomstaHD I think that is wrong. He had huge hype when he was in MLS, people talked like he was the next Brazilian Ronaldo. He has improved quite a bit in other areas of his game, especially linking up. He didn't play much at Villarreal, so no surprise he didn't improve in leaps and bounds. If you saw him recently with Alkmaar and the recent match with Slovenia it is pretty apparent he is better than earlier years. He makes goals, one way or another, so I am thankful for him.

I actually think he has some skill and brains and they have improved. We've seen his moves and touch in the Turkey USA match, his time in Turkey, and his time in Holland. Neymar or Hernandez he is not. But he certainly is better then many FWs countries have, and many FWs we have had in our entire history.

I'm not knocking you, but just saying a lot of time we rag on players because they aren't as good as we hoped. As long as he is working hard to be as best he can, and he does a decent job for my team, I can't hate too much. I think he can get better yet, and compete in World Cups and probably top leagues, but he has to keep at it.

Just because one player (Xavi) is still good just over 30 doesn't prove any kind of point.

@oJKBo Well he is what he is, and it isn't Agudelo. Agudelo, Davies, Altidore, and Bunbury all bring a bit different type of physical element/style to the way they play. Altidore is pretty explosive and agile considering his frame (compare him to Kenny Cooper), and he can really put most players on their toes. He may have been tired towards the end, between his fresh loan and then transfer, he isn't completely fit yet.

altidore is a great striker but he plays too wide thats why he doesn't scores often in europe where the level is higher than in the US. he must play in a more central role with his pace, power and hard shots he could be one of the finest strikers around.

Name a player over 30 who is still good? Drogba (33), Eto'o (30), Rio Ferdinand (32), Anelka (32), Maicon will be 30 in a week.
Players like Eddie Pope, Cobi Jones, and Earnie Stewart played into their 30s and played well.

@hwiowner01 How long has Xavi been over 30 for? Yes, he will decline now that he is older. His peak was a little later, as he wasn't as good as at 26 as he was at 30. But he will decline. Their are outliers to any case, but on average the peak range is 26-28, then there is a decline. Some players are able to play for a longer time, but if their athleticism will decline none the less. Just because one player (Xavi) is still good just over 30 doesn't prove any kind of point.

@oJKBo Well he is what he is, and it isn't Agudelo. Agudelo, Davies, Altidore, and Bunbury all bring a bit different type of physical element/style to the way they play. Altidore is pretty explosive and agile considering his frame (compare him to Kenny Cooper), and he can really put most players on their toes. He may have been tired towards the end, between his fresh loan and then transfer, he isn't completely fit yet.

Jozy Altidore is absolutely horrible!
He has no ball control and never wins one-on-one challenges. He is actually looks afraid to fight for the ball. I don't think he won a single challenge when he took any defender on. This guy has absolutely no heart.
The worst thing is that he is lazy on the field. He never challenges or pressures the opponent's defense.
You're telling me that with a population of 300 Million people this is the best striker we have??!
