not that the other guy is bad, in fact is is pretty good. But Brooks is better than any drummer in the rock genre today except for maybe Josh Freese so it's pretty tough for anyone to go up against him. His technicality, feel, and the way he plays to the song and enhances each song is amazing. Truly great!
what about paul ramirez from The Flatliners? He is a very underrated drummer according to me. If you want a good vood to see him drumming just search 'paul- the flatliners' :D
This video isn't the best example. Both drummers are phenomenal. But from what I know from heavy listening to both of the bands and playing and teaching for many years I know Chris Thatcher is a more talented drummer. The best example from the video is at 3:10, if you watch closely he is dropping his wrists to make 2 rimclicks on the snare amidst regular snare hits at a very fast bpm not to mention his timing is impeccable. At the same time Wackerman has very technical open hi-hat timings.
Brooks tears it up. Keep in mind, the relative basis for punk drumming is fast drumming. Not neccesarily skillful. Listen to Brooks on his other projects. A very skilled individual and a heck of a nice guy.
Brooks has performed much better with other bands. His drumming on Suicidal Tendencies is much better than any example shown in the clips posted. No contest. Brooks is the shit.
there is no one better then chris thatcher. if you say otherwise then you've never listen to streetlight or seen then live

Brook is a great recording drummer where as Chris is a great live player. So you cannot split the two cause they're both different.
