I have been to Ashland, Ky. and I am from Rochelle, NY. It was not that much different and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Ashland & Flatwoods are nice areas to live in. Sure, their are some buttheads in this area, but a good deal of the people here are great. Not everyone is a fatass or redneck or dope-head in this area. I've lived in some big cities and seen fat dopersin the big citys. Ashland & Flatwoods are nice areas to live in. Sure, their are some buttheads in this area, but a good deal of the people here are great. Not everyone is a fatass or redneck or dope-head in this area. I've lived in some big cities and seen fat dopersin the big citys. I'll tell you what. I was born in Ashland Ky. I have now lived in Oklahoma, England, Brazil, Colorado, and now Utah, but I will always love my Old Kentucky Home in Ashland. I'm proud to be from Ashland. I've seen a lot of the world and there are some great folks in a lot of places, but the down to earth folks of Ashland Kentucky will always be my favorite. First of all, Billy Ray isn't even from Ashland, he's from the very nearby Flatwoods, KY. Second of all, why doesn't Billy Ray fit any of these discriptions? Ashland is a very nice, quiet, small town to raise youir kids.

I live in Russell just next to Ashland I went to the school Billy Ray went to. I live in his home town, his true home town, Flatwoods, very small. Apparently you didn't meet everyone or you just showed up and talked to like one person.

Thats is not funny. It's Stereotyping. I am from Ashland, and when I'm not drinking sugar free redbull ( i have to drink sugar-free on account of the diabetes) I like to ride in my wheelchair up to the Mcdonalds. ONLY after I smoke some meth. So don't stereotype me.

flatwoods...ashland...they're pretty much the same place. ...and yes, i'm stereotyping. i was born in detroit so i guess i could have ended up on 8 Mile.
and i will say that ashland IS a pretty place. there WERE lots of meth addicts, fat women in wheelchairs, rednecks, diabetic, and people asking for sugar free red bull so it's all true.
