  • Guys, I live in st maarten. This was in the newspaper at the time lolll

(Air traffic control on st maarten sucks .....)

  • I love the sound the Jet makes when it aboards. Just FULL THROTTLE! <3

  • Low and slow baby....low and slow....

  • close call indeed

  • Comment removed

  • amazing

  • they need to go home

  • Oh My God I have it on video!!!

  • that guy was speaking hindi 0:28

  • @Saahil2910 Yep, desi's chilling out in St. Maarten...hope they are not Guju's..LOL

  • the plane on the ground is like fuck this im out of here!!

  • I could sit all day with a beer watching those things come into land! Good vid

  • @eyeeyeful ME TOO

  • imagine 0 visibility

  • lol at 1:30 < i HAVE IT ON VIDEOOO!!

  • very nice video i love to see go arounds at sxm

  • 1:54 "Once in a lifetime you that". Dear zonekaran, please come to London Heathrow and film for a few hours and you can see that probably 2 or 3 times.

  • You might have it on video but so does 15 other people

  • yo now whats funny, its that people fly there to watch planes land and take off !!! how ironic

  • Chuck Norris was on that plane hence why the pilot took of like a mo fo

  • I was on that KLM flight. We've seen the other plane on the turmac on the onboard video screens.

  • Every video you watch, people are fighting in the comments. Now you know why our country is fucked.

  • i have it in videoooooo..........

  • i like how the person was like OOOH SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

When a Go-Around/Aborted Take-off is part of everyday life in the world of aviation.

  • @NickPwnsUTube This guy got really excited ;)

  • @NickPwnsUTube

    Not everyday on st maarten...

  • yeah "hava a don videoooooooooo!" crap recordered, but who cares...

  • ph mai god

    i hava a don videoo!!

  • ur description is incorrect.

it WAS the shortest runway in the world where the Boeing 747 lands. Now it is not anymore and other there are other runways which are even shorter but where boeings and airbusses do land but smaller versions like the 737/757/767 or a320 family/a330.

secondly ur title is incorrect. It is a KLM on the runway and it might be a corsair in the air.

  • @MrBowie08 buy glasses and watch the vid again. The plane on the runway : Corsair.com.

  • @MrBowie08 watch the vid and pls open your eyes. the 747 turning to the beginning off the runway : Crossair ( in Red ) and in the air in its final approach is KLM's 747-400 , daily scheduled flight from Amsterdam.

  • @tynant101

I know its daily since i live in Amsterdam

  • OMG u got it on video u fucking retard. Go to any other aiport in the world it happens all the time u mother fucker

  • @dskxalive Shut up bastard you tell fucking morrons

  • @hyrrokinfamily At least my mams a women and not a man you fucking cunt!

  • @dskxalive People telling things on mother are retarted queers that have no vocabulary to rely on for clashing

  • @hyrrokinfamily Well look who's talking you fucking retarded cunt, guess what im fucking your mam now. Uh uh uh, OOOOOO yeah thats good oh yeah yeah yeah fuck yeah!!! Can you plz tell her to see if i left my underpants there last night coz i can't find them retard!

  • @dskxalive TROLL!!

  • Well, I see in the comments below people who claim this `happens all the time´. In the clip the pilot of the landing KLM airplane could see the CORSAIR, but what if the visibility was poor due to mist? Would the KLM Boeing have hit the CORSAIR? I can't imagine risks this big are taken..

  • Comment removed

  • @michiel1403 your question doesn't make sense. what are you trying to ask?

  • "OH SHIT..............OH NOOOOO" =D

  • Obviously the controller didn't stay at a Holiday Inn the night before. Nice footage though, enjoyed the flick.

  • ive got it on videoo

  • looks like just a simple timing conflict to me, happens all the time in the industry... the KLM was probably expecting to land behind the taking off corsair, but things didn't go so quickly, so he had to go around: a costly inconvenience, but nothing out of the ordinary.. of course controllers are encouraged to minimize these avoidable go-arounds as they are costly for the airline.

  • would be a neat gesture if the corsair guy squized himself to the side a bit and let the klm guy spare some fuel on go-arround

  • Fucen Indians have infested the entire universe..thumbs up if you agree !

  • I GOT IT ON VIDEEOOO (INDIAN ACCENT)

  • That is really dangerous!!! Yikes

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    great Video!!

  • someone at ATC must have been really bored that day. :)

  • The fucking idiots !

We don't need Ben Laden with such idiots ^^

  • And if it had been foggy that day?? KLM still has bad memories of the Tenerife collision. Youtube it.

  • very unlikely... 747's are always diverted when the weather is bad in SXM ;)

  • It would have been close but the KLM had time to land.. it looks like the Corsair would have been in the air by the time the KLM landed.. just a little too close for comfort though

  • 1:00 OH SHIT

  • Porrraaa Our Lady like this happen? that shit

  • @rike017 ????

  • Funny giggle

  • japan guy:o shit nono not happen.

American guy: fuck that anit gonna happen

  • I just cannot stop laughing about the video poster whenever I see this. "Oh Shit!". As if the KLM flight crew were going to deliberately crash their plane into the Corsair. It's a clear day with excellent visibility - of course the KLM flight crew will see the Corsair and go around.

  • Poster of this video was about to shit his pants!

  • PMSL OOOOH SHIIIIIT

  • You Were Speaking Urdu

  • This video was shot by an Indian . At the end he said in hindi "look, there it

    (KLM) is"

  • 1:04 " OOOH SHITT" !!!!!!!!

  • cool vid

  • every1 on both flights sht themselves

  • @UnitedSlidersCC errrr.. no. The passengers on the Corsair would not even have been aware of what is going on. For them it would have been a normal takeoff. The passengers on the KLM would have experienced a go around, but would not have known why, because the passengers cannot see what is going on in front of the plane

  • @ryanhaart one of the planes was sideways so they woulda shat themselves then -__-

  • @UnitedSlidersCC No they wouldn't. Note how far the KLM is away. The video zooms in on it, but the KLM is actually quite far away. The passengers on the right hand side of the Corsair, even if they bothered to look intently at the flight path, would have barely noticed the KLM.

  • @ryanhaart i remember 2 years ago i was on a flight leaving faro for shannon in ireland. as our 737 neared the runway enterance i noticed there was an incoming british airways A320 that was some distace away but we still stopped at the entrance and waited 10 minutes for it to land. so why did atc clear the corsair 747 to leave the gate if they knew that doing so would cause a klm 747 to perform a go around?

  • @oliverjumelle How am I supposed to know? Maybe they were drunk, distracted, or had forgotten about the KLM? More seriously, probably poor communications within the Tower. Often two different controllers handle takeoffs and landings, and if they do not follow the communication protocols strictly, misunderstandings can occur.

  • @oliverjumelle because the controller was a nob end!

  • A typical aborted landing due to traffic, happens all the time. The two aircraft weren't even close to breaking threshold.

  • That was to close for comfort.......

  • seee.... the corsair pilot is smart and is thinking

" its gonna cost him bout 20 grand to do a go around.... lets fuck em over" :P

  • He cudda made it

  • Looks like big misunderstanding between tower and two airplanes ?

  • KLM..." Tower on finals...thank you"

Corsair..." He's miles away...I can make it tower...err tower why's he speeding up? Errr Tower... ERRR....F#*k RUN AWAY!!!!"

(Corsair crew to self...maybe nobody noticed?)

  • amazing to see this though

  • "ooooooh shiit" i love how these ppl actually think the pilots of the KLM 747 were gonna continue the approach lol

  • Thats pilots thinking "I just fucking flew 20 hours straight, and now this shit happens"

  • ATC must be fucking drunk to give clearance to the KLM 747 with the Corsair 747 not even close to starting its take off.

  • "this is St. Maarten in Caribbean, it has the smallest runway in the world where a boeing lands" LOL. "Oh shit", "oh no"! "oh my god!". "once in a lifetime" LOL LOL

It's a go around due to traffic on the runway. Happens all the time.

  • @ryanhaart Em I hate to disagree but I work in the tower at YYZ and this does not happen all the time. Plus if it does it is a hell of a lot of paperwork that needs to be done.

  • @atworkguy It happens all the time around the world. I would wager a bet that a go-around due to traffic on the runway happens at least once a day at every major airport. So you are right, it does not happen all the time from your perspective in Tower XYZ, but generally it happens all the time. I am a frequent flyer and I have been in many go-arounds as a passenger.

  • @ryanhaart There are many reasons other than traffic we ask a pilot to take a tour. That plane was well in its landing sequence making that event a rare one.

  • @atworkguy Hello, check video Video m2IKw_tSa6A on YouTube, yet another video of a go around at St. Maarten, this time due to insufficient approach spacing. As I said in my original post, go arounds due to traffic on the runway happen ALL THE TIME, 3 videos on YouTube alone for this airport.

  • @ryanhaart

true...but this is saint martin and there is no way this should ever happen, not even once.

check out all the landing videos to see why...

  • @atworkguy here you go: watch YouTube video 489dItT3DLQ Another go around due to traffic on the runway at St. Maartens. It DOES seem to happen quite a bit there.

  • this was real stupid screw-up by controllers.

  • The Corsair plane was already cleared for takeoff its white anti-collision and outbd/inbd landing lights were on when it was on the turning bay. It couldn't just wait for the KLM to land because there wouldn't be sufficent wing clearance. Still, amazing to see both beasts in action at SXM! Coming from someone who likes to pretend he's actually a pilot.

  • Dude...u sound like Appu from the Simpson's..I haven't come across such a stereotypical Indian accent ever..not that there is anything wrong with it but ..its like I am listening to Russel Peters

P.S: No offense meant my friend. ;-)

  • similar situation happened when we were landing at sfo. nothing scarier than suddenly getting yanked back up in the sky just a few feet over the water.

  • Whts wrong with the corsair why couldn't he wait so we could watch the takeoff and a landing at the same time

  • You all could have been killed. A New Yorker, would have never been standing there. Unreal !!!

  • OOOOO SHIT!!!! O NO HES NOT COMMING.

  • I'm also thinking that the CorsAir did see the conflict coming up,because they started to throttle up even before the entered rwy 09. It is not a "as close as it looks" but still a non comfy situation....

  • This is what is called "a conflict" situation. If this happened during an IFR flight or instrumental approch, this could have been gone seriously wrong by 1 possible impact, 2 tubulences distabelising the KLM and 3 max thrust of the CorsAir plane could rip fuselage parts off the KLM. I don't know if the CorsAir was on taxi or if he was doin' a backtrack, but this can't be a "I feel sooo happy" situation...

  • "OO SHIT!" XD

  • @muffigw

    that quote was absolutely priceless

  • WHAT THA HELL WERE THE CONTROLLERS THINKIN

  • The AT Controller gonna have some explaining to do!

  • Pilot in air " Um, we're trying to land here, you wanna get the hell outta the way?"

  • @LDKBBAB lol

  • this would have been the next Tenerife airport disaster. if they couldn't see each other

  • @gmjyuir2 tenerife was when a klm crashed into a panman while TAKING OFF, not landing.

  • @charimakis true, but corsair was about to take off. If it was foggy, the two planes wouldn't have seen each other, and they will crash into each other. apart from the fact that one was taking off and the other landing.

  • @gmjyuir2 the planes don't need to see each other as long as the ATC knows where they are!

  • aha indians have the funniest accents! :D

    I HAVE IT ON VIDEEEOOOOOOO!

  • Those controllers like to play games huh?

  • sometimes its happening in landing

  • Corsar was not right, i think so

  • once in a lifetime lol

  • The Tower had sleeped!!

  • Stupid fucking air traffic controllers.

  • Oh Shit ... oh no ... this is not coming ... It was too risky eh .... shit man ... once in a lifetime you see that man ... i have it on videoooo ... haha ... a typical Russell Peters bit. Apparently the Indian people are the only ones panicing ... no one else is. It will take a turn .... he's trying to solve the worlds problems. Search for Russell peters indian accent. Your voice and accent reminds me of that ...

  • what do indians do in St.Maarten???? have they conquered the world already? just hear the accent.. tsk. tsk

  • haha oh Sh*t oh no its not coming

  • i think corsair should shouldve wait cause go around could be dangerous it damages the airplane engines . what the tower did was wrongggg

  • I bet the air traffic controllers sit in beach shacks with hawaiian shirts on with malibu and a couple of walkie talkies. Jesus Christ! Talk about bad timing.

  • Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, that wasn't even close.

  • um. that wasn't even that serious.

  • Not the best scenario but very low risk of collision or crash. The KLM jumbo is still quite a way off well within that required to avoid a collision. Honestly, had he stayed the course the Corsair jumbo would have been banking out well before the inbound jumbo would have touched the pavement. If this amazes you don't visit airports like Las Vegas and New York JFK where this happens multiple times daily.

  • "I have it on videoooo! ahohahaha!"

  • lmfao!

Control Tower: "Come on in, the runway is open."

Pilot: "Alright, I'm coming in for landing."

    Control Tower: "Proceed."

Pilot: "OMG there's another plane on the runway!"

Control Tower: "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you."

    Pilot: "You fat bitch."

  • @canoshizrocks lolllllllll hahahahaha lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @canoshizrocks HAAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @canoshizrocks LMFAO!!

  • @canoshizrocks LMFAO.

  • If you see that a plane might crash into another plane, why the hell would you stand there and film it. I would've been running....lol

  • That's cool !

  • I also wonder why Corsair didn't see the KLM on approach.

  • @UnshavenStatue it is not that easy to see an inbound aircraft, they make only low noise on final approch,me too I fly and when I'm on downwind and ready for base leg turn, sometimes ATC calls in to make me contunue downwind or make a turn "because of traffic on final",when I'm in downwind=opposite direction (face to face) with the inbound plane but believe me,even if it is a 737,with landing lights on,it's not that easy to spot from the first second...even a 747 looks small in a shiny heaven!

  • @TESTASPEEDER TCAS my dear, the Corsair was able to see the KLM coming down on TCAS

  • ATC might not have given TakeOff clearance..First it tells you to taxi and hold short on the runway until Takeoff clearance.. Might have been a misunderstanding..We don' t know.. Whether ATC screwed up or the pilot made a mistake.. If ATC, then it s really bad..They should have told him Hold short on Taxiway coz of incoming plane..

  • i swear the control tower at st maartins are fucking high or something.

  • LOL these people think that the ATC is dumb and doesnt see a big 747 about to land on an occupied runway. even if the ATC didnt tell him to go around im pretty sure the pilot would see a big 747 on the runway

  • I wish I could hear ATC instead of the idiot behind the camera.

  • go arounds happen all the time on a daily bases, this is not a once in a lifetime, but nice catch.

  • hahah you pakistani or indian?

  • @Athikhun because there is no holding point on rwy 09, he either gotta go there's not enough space

google map princess juliana airport and look at rwy 09

  • god i gonna go there

  • shut up!! I got it on video guy!

  • the man saying o shit is the best part i give this a 5

  • oh my god i have it on video

  • Not only one boeing Lands there! More than 30 Land there In total 40 Big planes a Day! I lvie on this Island!

  • What you all takling about, it beeing the ATCs fault? have you heard the tapes? for all we know maybe the pilot heard wrong or forgot to hold short of runway. Dont judge any of them if yall hanvt heard the tapes. good job of them all to notice the problem and initiated the go around pretty early.

  • How the fuck can this happen?I thought pilots, even if they are cleared for take off, should look at their sides before

  • This is clearly not the pilots fault.

  • Desi speaking in Hindi....Yeah yeah that Indian Accent !

  • Nice , 5*****

  • A failed repeat of the Tenerife disaster...

  • Not really when you know what happend at Tenerife. In this case it is a normal aborted landing. Nothing serious.

  • @ToonTownMadness I was thinking of Tenerife as well.

  • easily the air traffic controller's fault. it's not the hardest job out there but it does carry a great deal of responsibility. this is actually the best case scenario for when an ATC fucks up. worst case scenario is an enormous fireball made out of two passenger planes.

  • How you know its the ATCOs fault, you didnt hear the radio, maybe the pilot forgot to hold short....

  • I'm waiting for the inevitable accident either with an approaching aircraft or jet blast injury. A very dangerous location but fabulous for thrill seekers.

  • Oh Boy, Somebody F*cked up on this one

  • i don't know who's responsible for this....but it would be driving sheep in the future

  • lol... the Corsair pilot you can tell saw the plane coming and was like "Oh crap, i effed up... time to haul ass"

  • I love this airport! :D

  • ATC not paying attention. Also, I would think that the corsairfly pilot would see the KLM on final approach and hold.

  • Comment removed

  • Awful timing. Probably from both the ATC and pilots ;)

  • loool, wow big deal dude.well give the man credit. in india he probably has no chance of seeing a jet, let alone seeing something like this

  • stupid ATC ...

  • indian accent! hahah indians

  • The KLM had to go around.

no many times happens that on TNCM.

    But it's special.

  • "OH shit!" " My god" i dont know what is wrong with those people. i dont see what 's the drama about... that happen all the time.... i gues people LOOOOVE DRAMA!

  • Great Piloting by the KLM pilots ( Dumb Tncm tower

  • @50CENT123434 Let's be honest, even a retard could have made that call. If if it weren't aborted, I don't think anything would have happened, it would just be too close for comfort.

  • But still The tower shuldnt have done it

  • Tower screwed up, they should not have cleared Corsair while KLM was in approach mode. Another Teneriffa disaster avoided by KLM pilot action.
