Wow, so this is the video that was on the news. Whoever made this, needs to stay quiet for now. From what I understand this has every officer pissed as well as detectives and sargents. I'm not for mockery, but the video of the woman brutally being booked was highly unnecessary. I've seen similar incidents on the news with the police in Seattle. Too many with authority taking advantage.

Yes I agree that they will do their best and save us. But that doesn't excuse the inappropriate behavior on some of them. Stacy Bonds' treatment by police in 2008. was unacceptable, I counted 5 constable on her. Come on now! The police are suppose to be trained to handled such situation. It all comes down down to is "Lead by Example." As an Ottawa taxpayer I hope someone will be fired for this.
I believe that most people that are accusing the o.p.s. and their special constables of innapropriate actions are unaware of the reallity of things. I have worked in two fields were i had alot of contact with people in a drunk,drugged,aggresive state and ppl in legal custody. The work that officers do is always criticized and rarely aknowledged. most ppl forget that if they call 911 for help some of the first responders will be cops and they will do all that they can to help and save you.

I knew that canadian police where doing something else rather then preparing the police report for a speedy trial, but I guess they rather tie up the tax payers money on guilty pleas from suckers who can't make bail and are unwilling to wait. It make me really sad to think that thousands of hours wasted making this clip couldn't bring better voice or cartoon editing, then again we are talking about big ugly leaches who have no clue of human rights and are too lazy to do their job.

The Supreme Court had already ruled that strip searches were illegal. What kind of morons were those male officers? If a strip search was necessary, there were female officers available.
This does not reflect actual police, who do a good job. The problem is police unions which have allowed the officers representation. We pay them for professional police actions, and due to unions, they make a hefty pay. We don't pay them to beat up people.
Police are prohibited under the police act from forming of being part of a union so the power you attribute to the assocation is pure fiction. So you think officers shouldn't have representation when accused of crimes but sex offenders should? I guess in your world when an officer is accused of something they are assumed guilty and shouldn't have any right to defend themselves. FYI..the charter applies to everybody.

Interesting fact: Ottawa has the lowest rate of conviction rate for violent crimes (14%). Maybe our cops could spend less time beating innocent people up and more time resolving crimes?
