The other problem is that even if you do take the lane, there's multiple lanes for exiting the roundabout and turning left, thus taking the lane simply isn't an option.
Watching this video just gives me a sick feeling in my stomach. I cycle every day in London and it just seems that at the moment the cycling community is dealing with regular deaths and injuries on the roads.
Is this the A11/A12 junction? :/

So to go straight on you must keep to the left? That takes away your ability to take-the-lane by riding in the primary position!
