  • Im a correction officer and i train in judo, i take inmates down and have them cuffed so fast before they know what happened why anyone would go straight to their backs is beyond me

  • Gracie top fighters would always lose against top judokas under the rules of judo. On concrete, every black belt judoka would throw a black belt BJJ fighter one time and than the BJJ guys would be KO. Even under the BJJ rules which have no relevance at all for self-defense the Gracies lost sometimes. Their style lacks power, lacks balance, lacks devastating throws. All they can do is rolling on the ground with their funny rules.

  • @01Proust How do BJJ rules have no relevance to self defence!

  • @k00lkane Just check out which techniques Helio Gracie shows on youtube for self-defense. Or the techniques Royce Gracie shows in a book about self-defense. There is only little and very simple ne waza used. But there are a lot of Judo nage waza (and some Aikido-like moves) shown. He who wants to learn throws with devastating power should train Judo.

  • @01Proust ?

  • no can defend

  • Unfortunately the Gracie clan believe that they are more infalible than the Pope,

that was a clear Win to Yoshida !!

  • This proves that it's the fighter not the style, because anyone of them could have ended the fight early if given the chance earlier. My opinion whoever gets the upperhand first usually wins the round. Good stuff for both BJJ and Judo

  • There is a reason why this fight is not shown in any of this two figthers record. Because it was stopeed early, gracie didnt tap and he wasnt out.

  • @1024joaquin the reason actually, is that Pride didn't want to lose the Gracie family in Pride FC. Gracie insisted he wasn't out and demanded the result be changed in to a no contest or else they would pull out. and by the way, Gracie never taps out. He'd rather have a broken femur than concede himself. :p and if you look closely at 8:28 to 8:32 his hand goes limp from holding Yoshida's gi. He definitely was out.

  • He wasn't quick to get up. I think royce was out, if only for a little bit. The refs job is to protect the guys in there. Royce is a poor sport.

Either way I think it was clear where this fight was going. Royce is awesome, but thats an olympic gold medalist he was in there with.

  • If Royce was in trouble, why he didn't try to protect him self?, the answer is so obvious

  • Judo win!

  • Ele nem bateu ...

  • I like grappling... but no fighting styles... purpose should be to end up on the ground

  • Koji Komuro (Komlock) taught Yoshida that Sode-Guruma-Jime.

  • Royce Gracie fucking sucks big time. He's one of the most OVERRATED Gracies of all time, and you're talking about the most OVERRATED family, the Gracie family, in the history of combat sports. His guard is a Joke for someone who supposed to be a BJJ royalty or expert. And please Gracie lovers, spare me the Gracie family history lesson about what they mean to the sport and how without them the world would not be the same blah blah blah blah, THEY FUCKING SUCK.

  • @kanguesso

Well, I disagree, losing is part of the game and Yoshida was the top Judo man in Japan. His fight was very technical. Plus, he was heavier and stronger.

  • Which is more accurate? Gracie got beaten like a little kitten with cancer or a small puppy with aids?

  • @Machampion100 Hahaha oh come on man, they put up a good fight. xD

  • Very bad fight! They should not stop, Gracie never loses!

  • He had to take off his Gi to stand a chance...

  • Royce tap in 5:04 ???

  • Comment removed

  • Yoshida is japanese pride!

  • my favorite part is when they both get heel hooks on each other

  • royce gracie is only good against unskilled rednecks in the early UFC days but against equal skills - he suck !

  • @HistoryHmoobGuy you sound like a redneck with this comment, royce beat ken shamrock, dan severin(both powerful wrestlers),kimo and other one huge guys that can fight but new nothing about submission offence and defense so clearly you dont understand grappling at all. if Gracie was at his prime would of fought at 155 and got a high level striking coach with a good strenth and conditioning program he would be champ in ufc now period.

  • @HistoryHmoobGuy Royce transended the sport. He made MMA main stream by not beating guys to a pulp (ala streetfight). He took on, and beat guys (3 times his size that were also skilled martial artists) by using tactics noone in the mainstream had seen before. As much as he's a bad loser, he is the reason UFC is what it is today. After Gracie won 3 out of first 4 UFCs, everyone started crosstraining because of him. No longer could you only be a "striker" or a "grappler".

  • 240p thanx

  • Gano el chino feo ¬¬

  • ROYCE GOT CHOCKED MAN GOOD REFE CALLED IT SAFETY WISE GOOD DECISION BY THE REF ITS ONLY A SPORT PEOPLE NOT WORTH KILLING SOMEONE OR RISKING INJURY GREAT WIN FOR YOSHIDA TOO BAD ROYCE TOOK STEROIDS IN THE SECOND MATHC WOULD HAVE LOVE TO SEE THE OUTCOME WITHOUT DRUGS

  • amazing ! JUDO FTW !

  • Royce and the rest of the Gracies are a bunch of cry babies! Fuck them as real sports because they proved they're poor sports when they lose!

  • alright can some explain what the hell happened?

  • @ccslax6 royce gracie was caught by yoshida's "ezekiel choke." Although royce technically didnt tap out, his legs and arms went limp (usually meaning they've passed out). Seeing as how royce couldnt defend himself anymore, the ref called a stop to the match early. Some people are saying that the ref intervened too early as royce might have been able to do something about it, but imo i think the match was over as well. That deep of a choke is rly hard to escape from. Just my opinion!

  • @khuaplox exekiel choke?!?!??? is that one of those brazilian terms they madeup when they dont know what somthing is called?...its a judo choke called Katate jime

  • Gracie is a loser

  • The Gracie's are some of the sorest losers I've ever seen. It always seems like their whole ringside team has to storm the damn mat when one of them loses.

  • @TheMetallicFloyd they are sore loosers!..key word here "LOOSERS"

  • All respect to the Gracie family, and Royce was the pioneer face in MMA. However, Royce was never very good in jiu jitsu compared with the top gjj fighters. His quick loss to Wallid Ismail in Rio was an example.

  • I don't know much, but when someone is in a choked that long ("and goes limp") they don't spring back up on there feet that quick. the Gracie family is known for this in there stile of fighting, their father went over 4 hours in a fight ,got choked out. woke back up and won the fight. it would be nice to see a video of the other side of the ring. Royce seems to have a better charecter than this. not that it matters, but I'm shure hes ok with it.

  • Royce...wasnt choked out he let Yoshida choke him and was about to reverse it by... ... he was trying to improve position by letting himself get choked... he was trying to escape by going limp... ... FEED ME I AM TROLL

  • its all about winning to all those idiots saying royce wasnt choked out that he was faking unconsciousness they are idiots who in their right mind fakes unconsciousness its a match if he did he is the bigges idiot in the world the best man won!

  • chino de judo de mierda ¬¬

  • Kimura Armbar 1951. Yoshida Choke 2002

  • This fight proves that all these ju jitsu comes from Kosen Judo, forgotten, which has been taught only in few schools in Japan. Japan took the pride this time.

  • Clear loss for Gracie. Just a matter of time to pass out or tap out. He is a great fighter but everyone loses at some point. Why did he fight no-gi in the so called rematch? A real rematch is same rules, same people :) The very fact that he didnt fight with gi was a statement that he lost in the first match.

  • Guys, i respect all kind of martial art. I love this sport. But Gracie's (particularly) I HATE this people because of their CHARACTERS either they won or lose a fight. It's attitude man, its attitude, its not the way you fight or your style. Its the character that counts. You see I love your style but man i hate your attitudes. Got me?

  • yoshida told the ref that royce was out so the ref would call it. either a work or yoshida wanted an out.

  • i guess when it is a fight between these 2 titans of their art its best to let them choke the other out as there will be too much pride to tap.....ref should have let it go on

  • Sore loser

  • Royce..what can you say about his accomplishments? He's one of the best.

As to his sportsmanship..he has a fragile ego.

His behavior after the fight left a lasting impression.

It makes me think more about fighters who have won less, and are gracious afterward.

  • Gracie is so carefull..that's why!

  • BJJ = Basically Just Judo. Hahahaha!

The original Judoka from Japan just beat the Godfather of BJJ.

Clear win. Sour loss. Shame on Gracie for not acknolwedging a defeat. It's not like he lost to a stand up figther or anything, he should not be ashamed of losing to a grappler, especially to a Japanese Judo, considering BJJ originated from Japanese Judo anyway.

  • I find quite cute when they compare judo to bjj they take the biggest judo guy they could find and put him against royce gracie reminds of helio and kimura

  • well if all of you dont know... gi choking is one of the technique in japanese martial arts such as jujitsu and aikido. Thats legal

  • what weight class is yoshida? he actually lifted gracie from the mat using the gi. i think this is an over celebration of beating an older and weaker man.

  • @sparkymike83 Yoshida was in the +100kg weight. He was 33 and Royce was 36, 3 years won't make much difference.

  • @GingerOreo 22kg does

  • @sparkymike83 its not hard lifting a person when you're lifting with ur legs. as a <70kg judoka i can lift 90+kg like that if done right. i'm nt even in the olympics or anything. also, you cant use the "weaker and older" theory. "weaker and older" also translates to "more knowledge and experience". im 23 and still find it hard going against my 43 year old judo mate

  • I feel embarassed to see Royce going on like that after the fight... I am a very proud BBJ student, and the bottem line is : you win some, you loose some ... It is not a disaster to loose to Yoshida, one of the best Grapplers ever in the history of MMA.

C'mon Royce, there is no place for arrogance in Martial Arts

  • @martinods i think you mean BBBJ

  • pins are the most important thing in judo groundwork. with jackets, the judo guys pin better than wrestlers. choke or not, the jujitsu guy wasnt going anywhere.

  • the jujitsu guy spread legs and thinks that he wont get sqrued

  • disgracie jiu jitsu at its best...

  • I used to be a fan of the Royce Gracie but when he became arrogant I started not to like him. I still respect him as one of the greatest fighter in MMA. I agree he's a sour loser.

  • @coolwaterdvr "became" arrogant? the Gracies have always been arrogant. Helio refused to submit to Kimura even after having his arm broken resulting in his corner throwing in the towel. If a guy can't admit defeat after something like that, he's got to be pretty arrogant...the Gracies are good at what they do but not unanimously the best as they would like to believe.

  • @coolwaterdvr

Yoshida had it but I think the ref stopped the fight a little bit too quickly. Or the guy taps out or the guy blacks out.

  • @MikeSV1989

thats because gracie announced before the fight he wouldnt tap ;) at least thats what the commentator is saying

  • @jindemorrow

Yeah. I've never seen Royce tap.

  • just like jfk to the front and to the back to the front and to the back ... people must rewinded that clip a hundred times just you didnt tap doesnt mean he didnt lose like george burns would say ..... say goodnight gracie

  • Most Brazilians react this way when they lose against a Newaza trained Judo fighter. I went through this in Brazil when I went with my Newaza group to try and learn BJJ. I was the only american, the rest were my friends from Japan. We left totally disappointed in Brazil after thoroughly dominating the Brazilians. I thought we were gonna get shot by a jealous brazilian or thrown in jail. I don't ever want to go to Brazil again.

  • @khalsasikh Who exactly did you "learn BJJ" from? You sound really fucking arrogant and condescending.

  • @cardboardtox Think about what you just said again.

  • @Jason66601

I'm a BJJ practitioner, and I really love it. But I think you got a point there :P

  • what a sore looser, royce is an asshole

  • u r r

  • judo brasil

  • judo is such a wicked style of fighting

  • the Jujitsu guy fight like a pussy

  • @steeeeker I am a former Judoka who has actually placed 3rd in Jr National Championships. I train Sambo now and I have attended dozens of BJJ competitions ... so I think I have a pretty OK idea on this matter.

  • @steeeeker I think Catch Wrestling is the most effective submission grappling art, then comes BJJ & Sambo, then Judo

  • Yoshida is a Judo legend who has pure Judo (50% excellent throws and 50% excellent ground work). Many modern U.S. judo players have horrible ground work, but it's beginning to change ...

  • judo always wins

  • me encantaaa esta pelea, es buenisima. Inmejorable trabajo de suelo de ambos oponentes. Judo vencedor!!!!!

Judo vencedor!!!!!

  • The gracie method seems to be: lay on back and present anus to opponent for penetration...

  • if this is mma why arent they wearing gloves?

  • @easternclive early mma fighters had a choice on whether or not to wear gloves

  • @easternclive This was not an MMA match. This was a grappling match Judo VS BJJ with limited kicks, no hand strikes and no points (for throws or pins or guard passes) ... simply whoever submits wins the match. The second time they fought was an MMA match, this one is pure grappling and the Judoka won via submission but Gracie rebuffed it (what else is new)...

  • If you skip every 20 seconds of this video, it gets kind of funny to watch.

  • Typicaql Gracie boring shit. Within 5 seconds or so, he's on his arse trying to win via newaza.

And when they do break apart, within 5 seconds of getting to grips, Gracie is back on his behind on the floor AGAIN.

    Boring boring boring.

The Gracies may have won many trophies, but by christ they're so boring to watch.

  • @makikomi it's their strategy and the funny part about this whole thing is that Yoshida (a pure Judo player with excellent ne-waza and tachi-waza) won the match in Royce's own game (ground work) ... that's the funny part.

  • Rules as specified by Gracie said that "you may not drag your opinion down into groundwork." What does Royce do RIGHT AS THE FIGHT STARTS? Look at 01:15 people.

  • watch the yoshida vs cro cop match.

where yoshida looses big time to cro cop.

judo is useless against MMA fighters.

  • @BluePittbull666 Karo P., Fedor, Taktarov, Dong Hyun "Stun Gun" Kim, Aoki, Joe "Daddy" Stevenson, Andrei Arlovski (aside from Sambo, he trained Judo), Gegard Mousasi, Alexey "Submission master " Oleinik, Baga Agaev, Megumi Fujii, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Kazuhiro Nakamura and the list keeps going and going. All of these are major MMA players who are in big shows like UFC, Strikeforce, Pride, etc ... not to mention 99% of MMA fighters "incorporating" throws from Judo (e.g. Jon Jones, GSP, etc).

  • noooo grace in defeat what so ever

  • Firstly let me say that i have a lot of respect for BJJ as a martial art and the Gracie family. unfortunately i think that the Royce although a great fighter is a very bad losser, no shame in lossing but very disgraceful when you act like that after a lost. A great chok by Yoshida, did not see it coming!.

  • u can't blame gracie, he was taking a nap :)))

  • @klarensiv lol.... ; )

  • @shadowdragon888 It wasn't bad sportsmanship on Gracie's behalf, it was Yoshida cheating! Yoshida told the ref(in Japasese) that Gracie was choked out and the ref stopped the fight. Then Gracie stands straight up and upon hearing that the referree stopped the fight because Gracie was unconscious, Gracie was rightfully pissed off about the scam that Yoshida pulled.

  • @GGGeoff I see Yoshida in a choke position for some time. I see Gracie appear to go limp. I see Yoshida say something to the ref (anyone here lip-read Japanese? No? Then only Yoshida and the ref know what was said). I see the ref take a look for himself. Then I see the ref stop the match and I see the Gracie clan whine like little bitches instead of sucking up the decision and showing the good character becoming of a top martial artist.

  • @CYM2407 In the rematch(which was an MMA fight not a submission match) they talked about the controversy and showed the video from a different camera angle. Royce may have been faking(as is common in submission wrestling matches), but as soon as the ref stopped the fight, he stood straight up. If he was choked out he would have been unconscious on the ground for several seconds and unable to stand. Pride clearly had a bias towards some fighters(Sakuraba, Yoshida and anyone fighting Guy Mezger).

  • @GGGeoff Maybe so. Maybe Royce was faking. But it still doesn't excuse the bad behaviour of the Gracie clan.

  • @CYM2407 I would dispute that they behaved badly. I think they were rightfully outraged by the railroading that Royce received. Did you see Sakuraba vs Royler Gracie? The fight had 10 seconds to go before it was declared a draw and the ref stops the fight and declares Sakuraba the winner when Royler clearly was unwilling to submit and had no serious injury. I liked Pride better than the UFC, but there were clear biases in the officiating and the judgeing.

  • @shadowdragon888 A great choke? Really? Up on Royce's head like that? Yoshida should be ashamed. Worst sode I've ever seen.

  • @MrMZaccone It was a great choke. Search Hirata-Hadaka Jime

  • @khangbob Hirata-Hadaka Jime is a bare-handed choke and a variation of what's also known as a guillotine. You can tell it's a barehanded choke by the use of the Japanese phrase "hadaka" which means naked or in this case, bare-handed. The choke Yoshida TRIED to apply and FAILED MISERABLY was Sode-Guruma Jime, which uses the sleeve of the Gi. Do some research before you say something else monumentally stupid!

  • @MrMZaccone If you didn't say the last sentence, I would respect you a lot about your knowledge.

  • @shadowdragon888: I think Roice is pissed off because he didn't tap. But the choke was on, there was no way out of it and he would have conked out a few seconds later. Still his reaction is relatively understandable: You go through a tremendous amount of pain not to tap out on a choke, you think you can take it, and the ref call the match.

  • i guess the ref thought royce was unconscious still yoshida was in control of the fight

  • @ParanoidKev The ref thought Royce was out because Yoshida told him Royce was out.

  • BJJ tried to change perfection, they failed... lol jk

  • 5:18 min..

its like two dogs after sex...

  • It's like a game of chess! Bloody god match.

    =-)

  • this fight was fixed

  • @richterscale09 Proof please. Oh wait no, you're just trolling.

    =-)

  • @JPBStory maybe it's not me who's "trolling"... check your so called facts. Did you see him tap out or going blank? I've seen Gracie lose, and he never objected to a fair decision... but you can't possibly think this was fair. They had a rematch after this and Gracie kick the crap out of Yoshida.

  • @richterscale09 You mean the rematch that was a draw? And if it's facts you want from me I think it's only fair that you provide at least one vague piece of evidence that it was fixed. I've won judo matches against people and then in a later rematches lost to them. I've also lost to them one time then won the next. It's not proof that one is better than another it just shows they're well matched. It certainly doesn't prove the match was fixed...shit...I replied...you trolled me good man.

    =-)

  • @JPBStory go watch the rematch and you'll see the "draw" wasnt nearly as close as you think. Gracie himself said he wasn't out in later interviews and as a result wanted the stupid rematch. I don't see how Gracie would possibly complain to the judges after losing without thinking it was a bad call likely influenced by a biased ref and the home crowd. What part of this being a bad call do you not understand? Oh... BTW... can you prove the match wasn't fixed?

  • @richterscale09 There may be bias, that's a much more reasonable claim. I'm not even necesarily saying it was the right decision I just think saying stuff like "it was fixed" is a stupid claim to make without evidence and it'sa serious accusation to make. I guess nobody will ever KNOW for sure what happened but that's my point. You can't KNOW it was fixed and the burden of proof lies with the accuser (i.e. you).

    =-)

  • i want to know when the term "ground game" started to be so popular. It's really a trendy term. I prefer mat work or ne waza anyway... Concerning this match...10 to 1 if the same situation were to have gone in favor of the Gracie family they wouldn't have complained a bit.

  • Royce would never have lost if the damn lights werent so bright.. 90% of the crowd are squinting man. this is a disgrace!

  • @BabaZonge LOL so one man was affected, but the other wasn't.

  • Yoshida asked the ref "he is dead, isn't he?"

  • i want to know when the term "ground game" started to be so popular.

  • ALL YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ABOUT GROUND GAME

It's impossible being choked out so easily like that in the half guard!

Realize that Royce' leg did not fall down when he was 'choked', even the arms

Realize too Yoshida talking in japanese with the referee...

  • @MarcosMouta666 That family has and forever will be sore losers. A loss is a loss, and he would have either way. He was totally dominated and would have lost on points anyway. Gracie BJJ is overated and this is a prime example of that. Not saying it's not effective, because it is, but it's like the tea kwon do of grappling. More of a gimmick and something cool to say you do because of the UFC.

  • arent these really similar except bjj puts more emphasis on grapples and judo more on throws.

  • where can i learn how to practice judo without having a fat white coach!?!?

  • Rocie Gracie is a great fighter, but poor athlete.

  • Btw, Gracie fights like a bitch. I hate how he falls to the ground into guard on purpose every time they were standing

  • I have no respect for the Gracies

  • @Brandontrann yep but usually they don´t spend as much time at it and don´t allow a lot of techniques that are commonplace in BJJ, like shoulderlocks, leglocks and certain chokes. They also usually end the ground grappling if one competitor stands up, which is not the case in BJJ. In BJJ you also often train without a gi.

  • It´s sad to see all the hating in the comments here. Both BJJ and Judo are great sports that are great for real fighting, although BJJ has proven to be signifcantly better for MMA. Royce and Yoshida are both great fighters. It seemed to me Yoshida won this fight fairly, but of course he did have a weight advantage. Gracie should have taken this loss like a man. A great Judo fighter like Yoshida will have great grappling skills and I suspect he had learned BJJ at this point too.

  • @rokkvi1

    BJJ is not great.

  • @keeponblinking I guess that´s why almost every single successful MMA fighter today trains in BJJ, why Royce Gracie won 3 UFC tournaments and Rickson Gracie won 2 Japan Vale Tudo tournaments back when MMA was more style vs style.

  • @rokkvi1 : It did good in a time when not many people were into the Grappling style arts. Hollywood always portrays martial arts with fancy kicks and punch, thus creating a majority of martial artist in that era to focus on those kinds of styles. But as time goes on more artist are taking an interest in other arts that grapple such as Judo and Sambo which is why I don't think BJJ will be the strongest art anymore now that other are mastering similar arts..

  • @bostonian314 I think it´s true to an extent that Judo and Sambo have been and will be getting into MMA more. Fedor is one example of that. However, it´s been 17 years since UFC 1 and Judo was then and is still now more widespread and has more practicioners than BJJ. Quite a few Judokas have gone into MMA and generally they´ve not had as much success as the BJJ fighters. I think BJJ will continue to be the premier submission style because of it´s good ground work.

  • @rokkvi1 I have seen many MMA fighters and 90% have awful technique. Gracie jujitsu relies to heavily on ground fighting and does not stress the correct technique and emphasis on throws that judo does. Throwing an opponent to the ground is much more effective than falling intentionally into guard. In a street fight, one would lose quickly if he dropped into guard against multiple opponents. Judo > BJJ. In 1952, Kimura defeated Helio Gracie. This fight in 2002...

  • @keeponblinking i agree. the thinking that all fights terminate on the ground is not true nor ideal. street fights involving multiple armed opponents are not uncommon and falling on one's back is like asking for a quick death. best to finish the fight on one's feet or avoid getting into a fight at all. key to winning, if a fight is unavoidable, is using techniques that can kill or render one's opponent as quickly as possible.

  • @keeponblinking I agree that Judo throws are good for street fighting and I have great appreciation for Judo. However BJJ > Judo for MMA or one on one real fighting. You say 90% of MMA fighters have awful technique, WTF? Can you go into MMA and beat 90% of the fighters there? As for takedowns, wrestling has proven more effective in MMA for that than Judo. Kimura was much bigger than Helio, Yoshida is also considerably bigger than Royce. There are more examples of BJJ beating Judo than not.

  • @rokkvi1 are you stupid! judo is 10x more effective that wrestling every time you dive in a judoka has a counter and you never see the judo throws coming and the only reason you say its more "effective" cuz there's hardly any judokas fighting in the west and bjj comes from judo...btw isnt the principals of bjj is controlling a much bigger guy? in grappling the size difference of royce and yosh dont even matter

  • @chilidog1001 yes I´m sure I´m extremely stupid. After all I only managed to obatain two Bachelor of science degrees, learned to speak only 5 languages fluently and work a low paying, low class job as a computer programmer. I also did horribly on all IQ tests I´ve ever taken, I´d always get around 130 or so, how bad is that! I´m sure you´re much more intelligent than I am, not to mention more mature.

  • @chilidog1001 and now on to your actual statements. If size doesn´t matter, all the organizers of Judo, BJJ, Boxing, Kickboxing and MMA competitions worldwide must be complete idiots to have weight classes. You do realize there is a lot of MMA going on in Japan, where Judo is from? You don´t think Judokas fight in MMA in Japan? Now as for examples of Judoka losing to wrestlers or BJJ guys in MMA there are plenty, I´ll post a new comment so I have enough room for them.

  • @chilidog1001 here we go

    1) Royce Gracie (bjj) def. Remco Pardoel (bb in Judo)

    2) Mark Coleman (wrestling) def. Don Frye (bb Judo + wrestling)

    3) Ken Shamrock (sub wrestling) def. Christophe Leninger (bb in Judo and 3-4 in MMA)

    4) Dan Severn (wrestling) def. Joe Charles (bb in Judo and 6-13 in MMA)

    5) Georges Ste. Pierre (bjj) def. Caro Parisyan (bb in Judo)

    6) Yoshida who´s in this video is 9-8-1 in MMA among his losses is a def. to wrestler Rulon Gardner. He drew with Royce in MMA

  • @rokkvi1 why the fuck are you complaining about weight classes when this is a sanctioned fight i never said size doesnt matter i said it shouldnt be a problem 2. bjj comes from judo 3. non of those fighters had a foundation in judo except karo and you are only mentioning one loss to a guy that doesnt have a background in bjj 4. a better example is dong hyun kim who uses his techniques effectively and a true background in judo from korea

  • @chilidog1001 I´m not complaining about weight classes. Royce lost this grappling match that he agreed to fair and square. If you want to compare effectivness of styles though, you should have fighters of similar weights fight each other though. How do Christophe Leninger and Yoshida NOT have a foundation in Judo? Does it only count if Judo is your original sport? Do you mean black belts in Judo are meaningless if you get them after you studied something else?

  • @rokkvi1 was between Royce Gracies and Yoshida and was under jujitsu rules (allowed leg locks). I dislike BJJ for the fact it is unrealistic. Judo teaches effective throws which can be used on an opponent still while keeping yourself on your feet and ready to defend against another attack. BJJ's emphasis on ground-work and its ignorance towards standing techniques makes it futile. As seen in the video, trained Judoka are just as good at ground technique as trained BJJ martial artists while much

  • @rokkvi1 better at standing.

  • BJJ is gay and shit...this video proves it,there is no more to be said.

  • typical brasilian ghetto behavior

  • Geia sou Yoshida

  • 10 seconds more and royce gets really brain damage
