@anuhuge: All countries have their own dances. That you do not like one form of dancing is fine but the fact that you make rude comments just goes to show that you are close minded and most likely can't dance at all. I'm proud to be Indonesian AND Maylasian, AND Dutch/German/Apache/Cherokee/M­exican/Syrian/Luxenburgen/Iris­h/Arabic. My family is mixed and that makes us appreciate so many things :)

@anuhuge have you been to Bali? I am sure you never been there, if you go to Bali and feel the atmosphere of tBali the Island of Art....you will hesitate made bad comment to this dance.

Actually Kecak is one of the only things in Bali, invented just for tourists, there's NO religious connection what so ever

@MrUlrikmm Not quite true. It definitely has religious significance (the Ramayana being a Hindu holy scripture), and kecak has its origins in indigenous Balinese rituals, dances, and traditions. While it may have been originally developed for tourists does not mean it cannot have personal religious significance or be a legitimate cultural expression.

vaisnavism came to NE India 500 yrs (Jayadeva , Chaitanya et al) ago b4 tat NE Indians were Tantric Buddhists ... Balinese have been Hindus for over 1000 yrs so get ur facts rite b4 u blabber ur crap. Hinduism raeched Bali from Java after the fall of the Mataram empire. NE Indians did not bring Hinduism to Bali as claim by ur Hindian historiana. It were the Tamil Cholas and Pallavas who brought Hinduism to SE Asia ..
